Parental Control App - Mobicip

I am a child forced to use this. This app is so bad and glitchy and it has annoyed me AND my parents. It is horrible and VERY homophobic and doesn’t let you do anything.

It is a bad app I can’t uninstall the app off of my phone and I also can’t uninstall other apps

My child is ONLY using her laptop for college. It takes 60-80 seconds to load pages. And with time it it’s out 60% of the time and she loses all her work. I emailed them and took them over a week to get back to me. This sidestep deserves zero stars !! I spent hours and hours on setting it up and it’s useless. EVEN when you ALLOW ALL WEBSITES AND APPS it still blocks and delays pages and times them out. Only solution is to uninstall it from the laptop. And boom like magic everything works. Don’t throw your money away and give it to These people. It’s horrible. Disaster. They don’t deserve a penny. If they don’t refund me I’ll file a dispute with my credit card. Shame on them !!!!

I’ve had this app for almost a year and have been trying to work with customer support most of that time for the same issue of Mobicip constantly not working on our MacBook Pro. I’ve been waiting for an answer this last time since April and they still can’t tell me why it keeps happening. I finally just uninstalled it and asked for a refund but they’re telling me only Apple can issue the refund even though it’s outside of Apple’s timeframe. Complete waste of money and sooooo many hours of frustration! Don’t bother.

Mobicip has been an easy way to trust that my child isn’t stumbling (or seeking) getting into things that aren’t age-appropriate. I have been using it for years and it checked all the boxes I needed, including most YouTube videos that there’s no way for me to oversee. Highly recommend. Their customer service is responsive and quick if needed! The only constructive criticism I have for the developers is that there were numerous occasions where it was overly restrictive when I didn’t call for it (and I even un-checked all of the categories to block) not allowing him to research various things he needed to for school. But overall it’s been wonderful and just exactly what our family needed, and at a fantastic price!

As a parent who technology arrived late to my life, I was very pleased with this easy to use app. Very parent friendly. It was very easy to install in my son laptop and I was able to monitor every single thing he searched, even watch the videos he was watching and blocking nasty websites and videos. I love that’s they sent you a report of the day or week activity. It is a great app to monitor to kids during this time of easy access to everything. Sincerely… a very pleased mom. G. A.

We used this for 13 ish years for our kids to filter their phones, tablets, and computers. It works great. I knew my kids were protected when out on the internet. I liked the ability to choose which catagories to filter and allow as my kids got older and needed less restrictions. I recommend it to EVERYONE with children.

This app won’t get off my device. My parents decided that they no longer needed it, and deleted it, so no one is restricting my device. However, Mobicip keeps blocking sites and I can’t delete it. It is glitchy and unreliable, and only did something useful like two times in many years. It is also blocking the most random things, with no one on the parent end to stop restricting access. Do not get this app, because if you do it’s basically permanent.

Hi everyone, I just want to let you guys know this app is horrible. I have deleted it on my sons phone and my phone. Even after we deleted it it still gave us problems like giving my son screen time limits deleting his apps after a certain amount of time, taking Amazon as an inappropriate website. overall I do not recommend because it keeps on showing up on my son’s phone. Would you like to download this app yes or no and he always clicks cancel it shows up at least 300 times a day. He says he can’t catch a break.

I don’t like this app at all. I have no freedom ‘cause my parents see EVERYTHING I am ever on. It makes me feel like they don’t trust me with ANYTHING online. And you guys, the ones who made this app, you should feel lucky that I’m even giving you a star, ‘cause if I could give you -1 stars I would.
