Best ChatGPT app I've found, but it routinely crashes in longer conversations. The developer's top priority needs to be fixing the crashes.

Total jip! Worked fine for about an hour then crapped the bed asking for an API key which it then fails to generate answers for. Until the dev sorts this basic issue out I’d look elsewhere.

I agree 100% with the review left by belovedra… I am really into AI and when I came across what sounded like an AI app that I could really enjoy using I immensely installed it on my iPhone 14 Pro Max - the free lifetime subscription also sounded really good. But after setting up Percy and beginning with some really easy questions it quickly became obvious what belovedra said was correct - ask a question and nothing happens (except an activity wheel spinning round & round…). I actually feel cheated out of the one star I had to rate this so called AI app so I could express how disappointed I am with this app. I’m not writing it off permanently yet - but as it stands Percy as an AI app is currently totally useless!

Asked a question, nothing happens. Force quit app, checked internet connection, then asked another question. Waited for almost a minute. Nothing happens! Also, not very honest: app said “£0.00 one time purchase” but actually charged £0.29!

After a few basic questions, the app quits working unless to set up a pay as you go account. With all the free options, this severely limits the utility of this app. Great idea, horrible follow thru

But Percy is one of them! I haven’t found many apps that I genuinely use on the reg, but I’m super thankful for this one. Wonderful responses, easy interface, custom tone abilities, Siri integration and Apple Watch functionality are just a few of the amazing features. The developer of the app is responsive to the users and stays on top of the changing landscape, which is a critical during a time when AI is literally taking over the world, and the technology around it is so ambiguous. I love that I was able to purchase it for a one time fee, and then integrate it with my API key. 🍾 ***My only complaint is the crash during longer conversations, which I tend to have 99% of the time. I have read where this is being worked on, so I’m hoping that fix comes sooner than later. 😬 but regardless, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars all the way.

This apparently uses ChatGPT to understand what you say to it and to give you answers. You can scan in a page from a book and it will summarize that page. It will boil a full page down to a single paragraph, intelligently extracting the main points and rewriting them in its own words. You can ask questions about anything except perhaps the latest current events, and it will give you answers. I have not tested it for political bias, although I know that AIs that are based on chatGPT will have a strong prejudice towards the political left, rather than being neutral. Unfortunately, it would answer only a few questions and then demanded an API key , which I assume is only available to paid users of chatGPT. Very little information or help is provided within the app itself.

They have it right this time, hopefully it will become my new favorite app.
