Perlego: Your online library

Love the service the app provides, super useful for distance learners like myself. A couple of challenges: -The app looses the place in the text when switching between apps, opening/closing the app or simply rotating the ipad. -The page nr is only intermittently shown, making references harder to write. -would love if the highlight function automatically included the page reference when looking at the list of all highlights made in a book.

I love Perlego’s concept and it has been great help through my studies but the mobile app is a bit disappointing. While reading a book, each chapter is presented in long scroll format which presents accessibility issues for me and other people who might have motor problems. To add insult to injury, sometimes after making the quite painful effort of scrolling hundreds of times, being mid-chapter, it will flicker and scroll itself back to the top. This has happened already over 10 times in the space of 15 minutes. I think an alternative presentation of text where swiping and tapping to change pages within a chapter are also available would be extremely beneficial.

Super annoying to have to swipe to turn the page. Not accessibility friendly. Edit: The response does not address my concern. I don't want to scroll or swipe, I want to tap.

A few minor inconveniences have been fixed with the new update! One thing that has been fixed due to the new lateral scrolling feature is that now, the figures and images in the textbooks are always visible. Before, they would not load at all, and I would have to zoom in and out to make them appear. Overall, great app and a great update. Thank you!

Have one year subscription, very bad user experience.

What an incredible app! My textbooks are so expensive. Perlego gives me access to the books I need for a fraction of the price. I recommend Perlego to all of my fellow students 🙌🏻

Trying to use a travel guide book via you - it’s a nightmare! Can’t zoom on maps, can’t search in the app !!!

I love this app! As a geeky reader, I used to buy tons of books until I barely had enough space to keep them, and I also spent quite a lot of money. I was sooo happy to find Perlego. They have really good titles and authors that I love! 💜 It has been quite helpful because sometimes I bought books that I didn't end up liking the content of, but with this app, I can have a look through them without having to make the decision to buy. Everything they have is accessible to everyone with your monthly subscription -no additional costs! and they keep adding books every week, which is fascinating. I can even download up books from the app and read them offline, which is super handy, especially when traveling or in areas with poor wifi. 100% recommend it! 😍

Perlego has great content but is let down by the app and web interface. It’s worst for ‘PDF only books’ on iPhone where pinch to zoom is essential but the pages glitch and scroll randomly. Web access has similar but different glitches. Have never got ‘Read Aloud’ to work on my iPhone which is where the feature would be most useful. Get these things sorted and I’ll subscribe again. If you only read books on a large computer monitor or laptop you could have a better experience but that doesn’t work for me. I don’t have a laptop and don’t want to sit at a desk to read.

I love the content it provides but if we’re talking about the app functionality itself, when I go away from it and come back there has been a white screen the last couple of times and I’ve had to redownload. Also annoying that you can’t scroll down, just horizontally. Please amend 😟
