Photo AFib Detector (Lite)

Since I do not feel anything when I go into AFib, I have found Photo AFib to be a reliable detector in my two and half years of using the app. Update May 2019: After a year and half of being in sinus rhythm, the app immediately detected that I had gone into AFib. That allowed me to be treated by cardioversion the next day. The app worked accurately before, during and after the AFib episode. Update April 2021: Does not work on my new iPhone SE2. Keeping my old SE just to run Photo AFib Detector.

Just an advert for a skincare product

Always says too much movement even though I’m perfectly still and quiet. It makes my BP rise cuz I get so mad at it

I have try it on patients with AF and it usually misses them...

Disappointed

I don’t know yet how accurate it is but most other heart monitors charge extra if you want anything other than basic heart rate. This app offers more for free. But unfortunately half the time i use it it just doesn’t work, stays the toilet over and over even though i’m not moving

Will not work on iPhones with multiple cameras because you have to put your finger over the cameras and the flashlight simultaneously which is impossible to do. Worthless if you have a new iPhone.

This can be difficult to use. Sometimes will not give a basic reading. Not good when you are concerned with your heart.

Used this in an attempt to verify accuracy 10 min pre and post having an Echo Cardiogram which confirmed Dx of Afib The app iPhone 7 showed NO ABNORMALLY both pre & post echo This should be removed from the internet
