Introduction:
The Piano Partner 2 app provides a friendly, interactive way to help you learn and enjoy music with your Roland digital piano. Songs and DigiScore Lite show the piano’s internal music collection on your device’s display, while Rhythm and Flash Card allow you to build skills with intelligent accompaniment and engaging music exercises. Piano Partner 2 also enables your iPad/iPhone to work as a remote controller for your Roland piano, offering an intuitive graphic interface for even easier operation.
Recorder and Diary functions help you progress more quickly, allowing you to evaluate performances and keep track of your daily practice activities. The Diary logs stats about playing time, which keys you played, and more, and it’s even possible to share them with your family, friends, and teachers directly from the app. To use Piano Partner 2, connect your device and a compatible Roland piano wirelessly via Bluetooth®, or wired with a USB cable.
-Songs—browse and select music from your Roland digital piano’s onboard song library
-DigiScore Lite—display music notation for the onboard songs
-Rhythm—develop your sense of rhythm with accompaniment that follows the chords you play
-Flash Card game—fun challenges to develop ear-training and note-reading skills
-Remote Controller—control Roland digital piano functions from your mobile device
-Recorder—capture daily performances and listen back instantly
-Diary—track your daily activities and share progress statistics on social media such as Twitter
-Profiles—multiple users can track individual Diary data on one device
Notes:
- A connection with the compatible model is required to use this application except for the part of Flash Card.
- The compatible model and an iPad or iPhone need Bluetooth connection or a wired connection by a USB cable.
- When connecting an iPad or iPhone to the piano via a USB cable, a USB cable and Apple’s iPad Camera connection Kit or Lightning-USB Camera Adapter are required.
- When using Piano Partner 2 with a compatible piano for the first time, an Internet connection for the tablet is required.
- Songs and DigiScore Lite corresponds to only a built-in song of the piano.
Log Retention Policies
The Piano Partner 2 app collects information when it is used, including the device type and how the app is used (the functions used, date and time of use, etc.). We will never use this data for the purpose of collecting any personal information or identifying a specific person.
We use the collected data for the following purposes only:
• To improve the functionality of Piano Partner 2 and future related apps.
• To create statistical analysis about how the app is used.
When you download and use the Piano Partner 2 app, it is accepted that you agree with the above policies. If you do not accept these policies, we recommend that you do not use the app.

Disappointed

Roland sound is pretty good one of the better ones to be honest but the apps are disappointing compared to Yamaha and Kawai , songs are mostly ,l actually all classical nothing modern , rhythms are old School and again nothing modern. Display of app lacking behind others.

Connection error

Before I could connect the device by bluetooth easily by phone but now I can't , the app can't find the device after scanning, it's painful, please solve the problem of this app

Horrible reliability

It doesn’t work when you need it to work. As a concept it is really great to leverage the full features of a Roland FP10/30/60. Sadly, I doesn’t do what it promises to do.

This app doesn’t work at all

I’m running iPad OS 14.4 on my iPad, and firmware 1.09 on my F-140R, which is apparently a supported piano. This app does nothing - won’t connect to the piano, and as far as I can tell has no useful features otherwise. I also note that people in other reviews have complained about Bluetooth connectivity with iOS 14.2 and above, yet the last update that came out a month ago only talked about improving compatibility with iOS 13.x (5 months after it was superseded by iOS 14).

I just got roland fp10 brandnew one

Doesn’t work at all cannot connect with iphone 8 plus ios 14.2

I found this app awesome when I got it and it was really helpful to my education during covid and how I was in isolation and also was fun to play with when I got bored but recently it has stopped working. It says "scanning" and then it stops and says scan again as if I were to try scanning it again. I have checked multiply times for the Bluetooth connection using the connection key but it won't work. I'm getting really annoyed at the app and how it's mucking up. I have not been able to connect my phone and iPad to it for about a week.

Bluetooth

I have been using this with my Fp_10 . It has been working great until now. When I choice the dual piano, I lose Bluetooth. I’m thinking it was after my iPad installed an update. I am currently running OS 14.2. I would like to know if there will be an update for this app, maybe it would fix my problem. Cheers I have just downloaded this app on my iPhone running OS 14.1 I tried different functions and it worked perfectly. So the problem seems to be OS 14,2 upgrade. I hope your developer team read this and update this app. Cheers Thank you for you update, it is working great. Thing is a great app! Well I thought it was, I am having a problem with dual piano. Balance and tone shift . If + or - pressed, keeps going to end. Works if finger on ball slide if you know what I mean. I hope I’m in the right place here to let you know. Cheers.

This is app is great! The 1% of the time it works

Sooooo many connection errors and I spend half my practice time trying to get it to connect. The latest iPhone, brand new piano and a whole lot of time wasted.

Frustration Frustration Frustration

This app can’t seemed to work on my iPad running on iOS 14.2. Not even connecting for once to the Bluetooth after trying all suggested methods available in the user manual and on the internet. Roland claims Bluetooth function may not work in some countries but never care to list which the countries are.
