Pinyinizer — Pinyin Converter

Where’s OCR option? Or insert a document to convert option?? If I know how to type in a character already why the heck would I need it converted back to pinyin?! Useless app!

I bought this expecting it to be a robust app capable of taking pictures of the characters and translating them into pinyin so I can do my homework faster. Why the hell do I need an app to translate into pinyin I already know? Wasted money.

I study Chinese a lot & conveniently use this app for audio practice. It’s quite good, but sometimes the text, especially Chinese numbers, are listed as asterisks. That’s the only gripe.

The newest iOS update does not support this app, which I've had for about a year and used just fine... please update!!!!

After updating iOS 10, there is no more "define" button so you can't learn at all what the characters mean. The only thing that works is the audio. When you put in walls of text, there are whole paragraphs where the pinyin are not converted. And there is no cancel button for the "clear text". You have no idea how many times I accidentally pressed clear text when I didn't want to.

I bought the app this morning and tried it out. After conversion, every paragraph ended with a Speak button so the phone would pronounce the text, which is good; but not all paragraphs were tagged with pinyin. Every few paragraphs were just skipped. This app has ONE job, and currently cannot manage to do it.

I was disappointed that when I wanted to cut and paste the converted text it runs the characters and pinyin altogether into an illegible paragraph. That's not very helpful.

Great app

How do I make corrections after the characters have been pinyinized and the translation is wrong? For example 供 给 shows as gōnggěi when it should be gōngjǐ. I would like to be able to make the changes in the App or a Pdf file.

This does everything it says it does the way it should, except the rather limited amount of text it will translate at one time. I use the "My Scans Pro" app to scan in Hanzi and convert it to an edible text and paste into this app. This does a great job of helping me easily see and learn the pinyin sounds of the characters I don't know, but being able to translate a full page of text at one time would make more sense.
