The app will not stay connected to the LX805 but no such problem with the LX801 on the same network. After a while I have to restart the wifi connection to get it to work. The avr keeps the connection to wifi just the app is the problem. Please address concern,thanks!
You have to hold power button in on the unit to soft reset then the app will connect. It’s a daily issue. Pointless app since it’s been this way for atleast a year or two.
This app is F’ing worthless and the idiots that created should be banished. Unreliable, losses at IP address daily, have to Constantly reboot, and uninstall and install the app. Pioneer should be embarrassed by their high degree on incredible incompetence. Don't waste your time with this app and the Pioneer brand.

What seems like a good idea is ultimately super super glitchy and more trouble than what it’s worth because you constantly have to unplug and replug in or factory Reset your receiver . would say steer clear of this app until they can get it working right.
Solid app. Using on iOS devices. No complaints since 2019. Keeping the app updated makes it always perfect! Thank you!
Pioneer has more audio options than Yamaha.
Used this for 7 years for my lx-the 301. Worked better than icontrol. I tried this a few weeks ago and it would not work so must have had an update. All in all i’ve been pleased. Hope a new update fixes the problem i have now.

Pioneer and Onkyo should be embarrassed by this all but useless remote app. I just upgraded my A/V receiver to the Elite VSX LX505 from my old VSX 1123, and I'm seriously considering returning the new unit just because the new Pioneer remote app is all but useless garbage. They need to learn from the designers of the iControlAV5 app. That app has SO much more functionality and the interface is beautiful compared to the new app's. It's like they designed it as barely an afterthought. Seriously Pioneer, why saddle such a beautiful, capable receiver with such a terrible remote app? You should be humiliated and embarrassed by it.
