Pioneer Smart Sync

The app forgets/disconnects every time there’s an update. Every. Single. Time. There’s. An. App. Update. So instead of just jumping in the car and going- You have to stop and re log in and select the device, restablish Bluetooth connection. And jump thru many hoops just to be able to take calls & listen to anything.

App was working fine but after afew weeks now it won’t connect threw the app only just the Bluetooth off the phone

Nothing wrong with the head unit but the app is terrible. I don’t want an ad for Amazon music every time I open it and it should start playing whatever I was listening to last time on my phone not a song it decides. It plays something random even I’m listening to a podcast. I have an iPhone 12 which is what’s its built for so would hate to think how poor it would be with something else.

Downloaded this app in the hope it would assist my DEH-S5150BT from always needing to reconnect every time I got in the car. Unfortunately it didn’t. The DEH-S5150BT is possibly the worst car radio ever produced. Infuriating. Every other Bluetooth device has no issue connecting but this pioneer is just the pits

I have a DEH-S4150BT that used to work with the app on my old phone now it doesn’t the Bluetooth still works but I can’t connect to app

It’s not perfect, but it’s the best app/car stereo integration I’ve seen and I give it 5 stars because I’m impressed with the current functionality and excited by what it could become. The good: easy control of sound; once you get used to it you can scale and adjust it any way you like; interface is beautiful and adaptable; the SPH-C10BT unit styling is modern and retro at the same time (but this is hardware); The bad: not intuitive at first; no album images from Spotify; more interface design presets please - maybe even make other popular user configs available so I can quickly customise sound to my car model; reconnect on startup is clunky
