Piper's Metronome

Thank you for this excellent and really easy to use tool. My piping is still very ropey but at least now I can hear where the problems lie and, hopefully using the clear instructions, begin to rectify them. Strongly recommended for all Pipers no matter how “naturally talented” you think you are, there is ALWAYS something new to learn and timing:rhythm is a major part of improvement.

The recent update (April 2020) has added a pop up notice that appears 2/3 through a set, stopping the metronome completely. Nothing in the version update communication to warn or explain this change.

I am really enjoying the features, particularly the pulse options. Coming from more traditional music one of my biggest challenges has been the unique timing of the dot cuts in bagpipe music. Being able to set the metronome to the type of song I am playing and being able to adjust the types of pulses to help me get the exact timing of the dot cut is helping me prepare for my first competition and take my piping to that next level.

Jori Chisholm has made a quantum leap with the invention of this metronome. It is far more than that. This is a tempo pulsed auditory tutor for our unique bagpipe music. Hours of live based instruction would not replace this Grade one instruction you can hold in your hand. It is an extraordinary device! Thank you Jori!

If you love using the Braw tuner for tuning your bagpipes. You will love the Pipers Metronome for your practice sessions. Weather you are just working on your embellishments or your solo or band sets. It has something for everyone.

Excellent app I recommend to any pipers!

I went to practice today and was sad when the beta wouldn't open but then I realized that it's because the accessibility changes we made during the beta phase are now live! So I'm really excited to share with other bagpipe students or pipers that either have a little bit of vision or no vision at all that this app now works with VoiceOver on all Apple devices, including my iPad! Thank you guys for being so responsive and willing to help me make this app even better
