Unable to refund
I couldn’t refund tax due to the Planet system trouble. However, they didn’t try to find the cause, never accept their fault. I recommend not buying tax refundable items at UAE.

## What is Tax Free Shopping?
- While on your holiday in the UAE you can get a refund for the Value Added Tax (VAT) you paid on your retail shopping. To get your refund, you just need to show your purchases and get them validated when you leave the country. It's a way to save some money while enjoying your shopping experience in the UAE.
## Who is eligible?
- VAT refunds in the UAE are available to overseas tourists aged 18 and above. An 'overseas tourist' refers to anyone who isn't a resident of the UAE or any of the Implementing States, and isn't part of a flight or ship crew leaving the UAE.

Doesn’t work! Jan 2025
This app does not work! It scans the passport but says name and number are invalid. The website also doesn’t work properly. The website scans and info shows up but it’s confusing to sign up and create an actual account. It doesn’t have a password option so does it mean anyone can sign into your account? I can see my processed store receipts but I cannot add my credit card even though my planet receipt has the cc info. I’ll wait the 10 days for refund and see if it actually gets processed but this app or website process is horrible. Global Blue works perfectly and is automatically digital from the stores where one purchased from. I got that refund in approx 2-3 days.
Doesn’t work right
Same problem others are having that it scans your travel document and then says it’s invalid
Useless
Scanned document an still not able to log in. Illegal surname 🤷♂️
No way to sign up
Well I downloaded the app, scanned my passport and it says invalid surname and number! So I deleted the app, redownloaded and entered information manually! Same result! I’d give it zero stars!Useless app!

Just like everyone else, I get an invalid surname and invalid email message when attempting to login.
