PlayTally: Apple Music Stats

This app is great! Tracks everything just like how I’d want it to but I hate that it doesn’t count streams from my Apple TV despite iCloud sync being enabled. “Force Scan” does not work either.

Hopefully it resolved soon. Miss the app.

I keep on playing songs but they won't add any streams to the tally app, I have to play the song from the tally app in order for it to be counted.

This app is great! Out of all the apps I’ve found that have Apple Music tracking, this one is the most fleshed out and the most accurate. The main reason why is the trending feature. I love how the app can generate a playlist of the top songs I’m listening to from whatever timeframe. I’d like to ask one question to the developer, is there a way the app could update the trending playlist, instead of me having to delete my current one and generate a new one every once and a while? Another, probably easier question, could you create an option to have a custom amount of songs in the trending list instead of 100? Like 50? 20? 35? Thanks so much for creating this app! I recommend it :)

Still some kinks to work out. I listened to over 5 hours of music today and it only tracked 14minutes which was pretty frustrating and sad. Despite using the force scan I could not pull up any of the info. I would suggest if someone uses this to also have a backup to track the data. Donated towards future development which will hopefully cause changes in the app!

The app is not displaying all of the songs I have listened to. Songs played on my Alexa dot aren’t included in the stats either despite turning on device syncing. I like the interface and the features are good (trending, awards) but I can’t recommend this app because the stats simply aren’t accurate.

I got PlayTally instead and I love it! Wish I had grabbed it on preorder but the little price to pay was no issue to support a small developer. I really liked Apple Music replay when a friend showed it to me this spring but wished it tracked more stats. My craving for data is now satisfied! I really love the look of this app and all the ways it breaks things down. And I know it’s only going to get better once it has some time to track things it couldn’t import from Apple Music. It integrated and blends in so easily it feels like it could have been made by Apple themselves.

Yep, I developed this app. But I always know I’m on to something when I end up using an app in a cool unexpected way I didn’t expect to when I making it. And of all the music apps I’ve built and used, PlayTally feels like I’m always only one tap away from something I *want* to listen to. I hope you enjoy it :)

Can you add the ability to keep all plays by default to not have to select that option when opening the app? Thank you
