Pocket GM 3: Football Sim

Been enjoying the game with one little complaint. Seem to play the same NFC teams year after year. I’m playing as Miami and I always play the Giants and Cowboys among others. Drafted a QB that turned out to be great! He never could get that SB Championship until just now at the ripe old age of 37. His talent is dropping fast so I’m glad he was able to get over the hump.

I very rarely write reviews for games but I’ve become so addicted to this game that I thought I should just show my appreciation for it. Also would love to see a basketball game with this concept. If you made one then I’d be addicted to two games LOL

This game is by far the best version of any GM simulator out there! Really hoping we get an updated version with pocket GM 4!

The playcalling for the game is comically bad. You’ll be up a score in field goal range with less than a minute and it will pass the ball resulting in an interception that leads to losing on a last second ridiculous touchdown. You will regularly lose to teams that have much worse rosters. You can put together a top tier coaching staff, physics, scouts. Doesn’t change anything. You get a massive number of injuries to key players regularly. You can’t negotiate contracts for free agents during the season. The dead cap/salary cap is wonky and not realistic. Could be a great game.

Great game I play it a lot I think the cap space needs to increase every year but also think if cap space increases players contacts should increase every 5 years to whatever they do in real life. Like QB in 2017-18 was like what 30 million now it’s 2024: and it’s 50 million for a top 10 QB

Fun game for awhile, but not worth getting for the terrible experience in the long run. You will quickly want to give up on this game due to the awful AI. This game has the worst decision making from the AI of any football manager for IOS. Even with a maxed out coaching staff they will constantly make the worst possible decisions. Utilizing the 2nd & 3rd string RBs more than the starter even with a “bellcow” style coach. Letting the clock run out nearly every time instead of taking FGs. Throwing the ball 40+ times even in a running offense. The horrible AI ruins what could be a good game.

I spent hours on this game, it’s definitely one of my favorite apps in a long time. Fun to build rosters and managing cap space. There’s just a few things I’d love to be worked on. A more in depth scouting/drafting because in hard mode it’s just looking at combine stats and guessing. Also managing team morale I think would be cool, dealing with their individual personalities, and doing more with the news section. Lastly just more customization options and being able to be female. Anyways great game, I’m hoping for future success.

It doesn’t make sense how you can have an awesome team and go on a 8 game losing streak scoring a few TD’s. I don’t think the consistency and true to the numbers is there

Any chance you designate a return position? Also, % of playtime for them? I love the game.
