Pocket Instructor

This app helps me understand and connect all of the practical aspects of driving while I’m doing lessons, instead of just learning to physically drive I can actually apply the logic too. Its a great app; lots of information without information overload, it mentions things to expect in your practical test and quizzes you too, plus it’s free. Highly recommend!

As an instructor, I might find this app very useful as it is on the whole well designed and informative. However, unfortunately I do not use it nearly as much as I could for the following two reasons: 1. There is no iPad optimised version. On an smartphone, the otherwise excellent template feature is very fiddly because of the small screen size. It would work so much better on a larger tablet screen. 2. There doesn’t appear to be an option to hide ads. As a instructor, I feel it would look more professional if I could pay to remove ads, like on most other apps. In summary, if the developer could add the above features to the app, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to other instructors and students alike. However in it’s current form I think it’s usefulness is restrictively limited.

Good app but useless without internet. In areas where signals low you can’t present to students using it.

Hardly anything works on it. Terrible app. Do not waste your time!

Was brilliant up until week of my test when it said my account was suspended or banned. No idea why

Hi, I downloaded this app a few weeks ago. Just found out that its not opening anymore. It says “account suspended or cancelled “. Is there any reason for this?

So I did the test Got 90% but can’t see anything to tell me what I got wrong. Other reviewer mentioned poor text / background but I didn’t see it at all. Clicked on h code and it’s the 2017 version so not up to date. Links to download h c don’t work, nor do any of the links in the app’s h code. In ped crossings, no mention of tiger / parallel crossing. So there’s some work to do to make it 5*

App is very good for learners. Been great so far. However, on the quiz, on my phone, I cannot scroll down to see the multiple choice. The only answer visible is the top one. Everything else is great.

My instructor recommended this app. It’s very helpful but the quizzes are inaccessible on my phone - I am unable to scroll down to see the multiple choice answers, this rendering it useless. Would love this to be fixed so I can test my learning.

This is probably the best app for anyone who either can’t afford an instructor or can’t get one due to how busy they are. Not saying that you don’t need to practice your skills but this will set you in the right direction of how you need to practice to be test ready. Ideal for new drivers or people with experience who didn’t pass the test first time
