Great utility
Prizmo is my go-to tool for turning old scans into tidy OCR PDFs. The iOS version also keeps the file size remarkably small.
Shortcuts integration needed
Fast, responsive and accurate. A quality app well worth the money It does need to have Shortcuts integration. URL callbacks don’t cut the mustard anymore. The ability to send a pdf from Shortcuts to Prizmo 5 for OCR to searchable pdf and then return the OCRed pdf for metadata work and saving in Devonthinktogo 3 would be awesome
Great on-device OCR capable for entire textbooks
The most impressive part is that it could perform OCR on old scanned PDFs of textbooks reliably, on your device! OCR a textbook is a very heavy process that even Adobe Acrobat on PC doesn’t do that well. It can output a new PDF file with the OCR’ed text embeded in so it becomes searchable. This is the only app I found on iOS that could do this. (Neither Scanner Pro by Readdle nor Voice Dream Scanner can do this.)
Reliable
Using this for years, nice quick process to capture and export.
Hardly any different than V4
Without s list of what's new in V5 I've taken a quick look and re o be honest ot doesn't look very different to at all. So basically this is a move to subscription pricing for part of the service with a lump sum payment for other features I've already paid for in V4. Poor show from the developers.
PDF kriegt Werbestempel
Ich nutzT(!)e Prizmo für die Erstellung meiner PDF Dateien für meine Arztrechnungen - doch seitdem Prizmo beim PDF unten rechts seine Werbung aufdruckt, nimmt meine Krankenkasse das nicht mehr an. Damit ist die App - DIE ICH MAL GEKAUFT HATTE - uuuunbrauchbar. Ändert das - bitte - wieder zurück. Dann bekommt ihr auch eine bessere Bewertung!
Nach einmaligem Kauf ein kostenpflichtiges Update?
Ich war super zufrieden mit der App. Top Scanner mit super Qualität, Umwandlung der Dokumente und einfaches Teilen. Ich kaufte die App vor Jahren und musste heute beim Scannen feststellen, das ich kostenpflichtig upgraden muss, um das Wasserzeichen zu entfernen. Zum Glück kann man vom iPhone aus auch ohne weitere Apps scannen.
Super App…
… leider stürzt sie sofort ab seit iOS 17.0.1 auf meinem iPhone 12 mini. Bitte updaten! Danke
Pro und Kontra
Die gute Nachricht zuerst: Die OCR liefert hervorragende Ergebnisse. Und, man kann Text-Bereiche von der Erkennung ausschließen. Die schlechte: Die Bilderfassung funktioniert nicht gut. „Scanner Pro“ z.B. findet die Ränder des Dokuments automatisch und löst ohne mein Zutun aus. Sehr schade, dass das hier nicht geht. Mache ich etwas falsch?
