Was getting really bored with my workouts and hit a plateau. This keeps it interesting and helps me gain.
The app was great before it was updated to 2.0.x. Ever since that update all my weights have been incorrectly saved for every exercise. They are either recorded as a kg’s when my setting are lbs or they are all multiplied by 2.2 after I finish the workout. The progression are weird intervals like 6/7 lbs which is likely once again due to the kg/lb bug. The most recent update really threw all my weights completely off. I have been spending 15 minutes before hitting the gym trying to sort what weights I should be lifting. The custom built programs, periodization, progression etc are all great but having to decipher what I should be lifting each day is a deal breaker for what it cost.
as someone who also likes to train forearms and neck i wish there were exercises in the selection or the option to make your own exercise would be a great feature if possible

Ez to use, track your weight, push you to lift more every session, keep your accountable. Everything you want for fitness app, 10$ a month is really affordable. An update with a PPL and upper lower option is coming cant wait !
As a busy Dad, I was finding hard to get to the gym and be consistent. Although “every little bit counts”…. there’s nothing like being able to track your progression and know you’re benefiting from what you’re doing which is what the Push app does amongst other things. The app itself is super intuitive and easy to navigate whether you’re a beginner or Mr. Olympia. Each exercise has a video/animation of how to perform the movement if you’re not sure of it by name (love this feature). The program that was generated for me when I signed up is super manageable and develops from your own progress and also at the end of the day… your own accountability. Bottom line, if you’re looking to build muscle and find a wholistic platform to achieve that then get this app and go to work.
Good strength-building app. Interface is clean, focused on function, but without throwing loads of useless features in your face. As a relative novice, it’s definitely helped me build confidence in the gym and learn new exercises. The swap function is amazing when equipment is busy and you need to use something else. Areas to improve: 1. the app could do with an Apple Watch counterpart, as I would appreciate not having to take my phone around with me in the gym. 2. Not sure if it’s a limit with permissions, but the timer function is basically useless. I have to set a separate timer for each rest stage so I am actually alerted when I need to restart. Overall, would recommend the app!
I’ll start by saying that this app is very good at pushing you to progress in your goals. I’d say that’s about the only positive however. You can only generate 1 program at a time. You have to overhaul the generated program if you want to change it. You cannot name your program. Only your ‘days’. The AI generated programs are very limited I.e only full body for a 4 day split. In fact it seems to favour full body over any other split. The database of exercises are very limited. You cannot add secondary muscles to created exercises.
I’ve been going to the gym for 20 years. I know my stuff. I was surprised at how much I get out of this app. It takes all of the tediousness away from a workout plan. Sometimes knowing I had to mess around with spreadsheets and calculations or notepads honestly stopped me going to the gym consistently, now I’m flying. When my trial ended I was more than happy to donate £60 of the money I was going to spend on my girlfriend this Christmas. She can have a boyfriend with abs instead.
