Great app and really helpful. One gripe is that for a notification app, the notification sounds are out of the 90s and need an update. Functionally really useful though.

After many uses for notifications in my day to day life with things like discord and sms this service is a fantastic deployment of the push notification protocol and I can not recommend it more, give it a go for yourself as it has a free trial… it’s what convinced me to happily purchase it!

Pushover and its API are absolutely brilliant. So versatile and so reliable.

Using pushover with Home Assistant and it works well; much more flexible then the standard app notifications. The notification log is handy. I have a wrapper script for house notifications so switching over to pushover was trivial, and I have extended it with a critical flag to make use of pushover’s functionality.

If you’re thinking about a subscription, do it. For a fiver you get the ability to setup multiple push notification channels, the ability to create webhook and API keys for all your container or other applications. A must for anyone that wants a widely supported protocol for generating and displaying your own push notifications on iOS

Really happy with this. The payment was more than worth it.

Good. Easy to integrate; nice API; responsive and fast. But the watch app is extraordinarily weak to the verge of pointlessness, and the desktop app (Safari webpush) just doesn't work at all. The email gateway doeswork but needs vastly better documentation if it's going to be useful for push email. And speaking of, that's my primary usage, namely, to give iOS push email. If that existed directly, probably I'd not be investigating these services at all. See also Prowl and Pushsafer.
