Spent half a day trying to get this app to connect. Used all the advice and replies that Pioneer gave others and nothing. So far this app is useless

I have to pair and re-sync this app every time I get in my vehicle. It wastes an extra 1-2 minutes of my life every time. Complete garbage.

I was finally able to get the PxLink app to pair and interact with my new Pioneer DMH-WT6000NEX. I had initial issues because it would seemingly refuse to proceed with pairing. Turns out this is because the app blindly assumes the display dimensions, and there is a button you need to push to proceed with pairing. There is no scroll at or anything to indicate I needed to scroll, and the display is big enough that a button should fit. Your developers need to test with more models than just the absolute latest, and should be dynamically sizing to cope with differently sized displays (I'm using an iPhone SE gen2). Please test more thoroughly. This seems like such a blatant own-goal usability wise.

Beautiful head unit with zero app connectivity. I’m hopeful this will be resolved soon, however reading previous reviews from months ago, it’s not looking good for pioneer. Sad

I recently had Pioneers' new head unit installed in my Subaru. It has all the bells and whistles and sometimes performs well, but unfortunately, the software and apps need profound love. My biggest gripe is that I am a professional driver, and when traveling, my connection consistently drops, and my head unit loses functionality until I stop the car and do a complete reboot. I believe this is due to interference with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. This product and its applications were released prematurely, and I find it a disservice to customers to charge a premium price and let them down. I look forward to firmware updates that resolve the unfortunate issues that were not identified and dealt with before release. Once they are, the product will be a great buy.

I recently had a Pioneer DMH-WT6000NEX installed using a Maestro RR2. This app made it super easy to upgrade the firmware on the headunit, and I appreciate that. This app allows for some customization of the shortcuts (see below), and the ability to use your device as the shortcuts screen (which may be easier to reach in some vehicles). However, the shortcuts menu on the unit appear to only be customized using this app, and the options are lackluster at best. For app shortcuts, it is supposedly possible to use a variety of installed apps (likely only CarPlay apps, although this is not mentioned in the app support documentation)—which I was only able to find on Pioneer’s Japanese website, in English by using the “Help” section in the app. The link from the App Store does not redirect appropriately. https://jpn.pioneer/ja/app/pxlink/help/en/ Under Utilities, I only see “Car Features not set”, even though I have “Car Features” on the unit with access to gauges, TPMS, and door status using the iDatalink Maestro RR2. My biggest ask for a shortcut would be Day/Night mode; which doesn’t seem currently possible. $900 CarPlay receiver that has no discernible lag, a beautiful screen, and the opportunity to do split screen with CarPlay or Android Auto—but shortcuts only customizable through this app, which doesn’t allow much that I can’t already do with steering wheel controls.

Does not link i try everything and nothing i have the smh-wt6000nex and for the money everything should be as easy as turning on a light switch but for hours and hours and NOTHING
