“Qariah” translates to a woman Quran reciter. While there are many public Qariahs around the globe in countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Morocco, Algeria, Nigeria and Yemen, it is not a well known term in many Muslim communities in the west. Thus, the Qariah app aims to mainstream the term Qariah for women and ease accessing recitations of Qariahs…so that when little girls ask their mothers or aunts or sisters or homegirls, “Why are there no women Quran reciters?” The answer will be a resounding, “There are an uncountable number of them- and God willing, you and I can be them too!”

The app showcases women’s scholarship with Quran and aims to inspire women across the globe to pursue Quranic understanding, memorization, and contemplative recitation.

Listen to the Quran in multiple qira’aat (methods of recitation) including Hafs ‘an ‘Asim, Shu'bah 'an 'Aasim, Warsh ‘an Nafi, Al-Doori 'an Abi 'Amr, Khalaf 'an Hamza, Qaloon ‘an Nafi, and Qaloon Biqasr Almunfasil wa Iskaan Meem AlJam.

MaShaAllah what an amazing app! Jazakallahukhairan kaseera to Sister Maryam Amir and the team and all the reciters. Felt so amazing to hear the beautiful recitation by the sisters. Makes me wanna recite the Quran so beautifully like them . 100% recommend all my Muslim sisters to download this app. Once again May Allah SWT bless the whole team. What a great gift during Ramadan.

This is the first time in my life I could spend prolonged time listening to Quran recitation by a woman! I greatly appreciate the diversity of reciters from all over the world and the representation of disabled Qariahs as a disabled woman. Excited for all the features to come!

Full of wonderful recitations - download feature?
I love using this app to listen to female Quran reciters! One request I have is if we could download recitations. I would like to listen to Quran when I travel and currently can only use this app when connected to data or Wi-Fi. Thank you!

Assalaamu alaikum, Ma sha Allah this is a beautiful app! I play the recitations in the car, when I go walking, or even just at home. May Allah SWT bless all of the reciters as well as the app developers and grant them the reward for every person that benefits from this app. I had one question. more filters in the search bar please!
this app is amazing! only suggestion i would make is to have more filters in the search bar, for example, we can search reciters based on what country they’re in, from most listened to to least, from most accomplished reciters to least, etc.

The app is really I like everything about it my only issue is that I can’t download any Surahs? Please add that feature too asap
