This is a simple/minimalist text editor that does one thing - allows you to write without distractions. It’s a good app for those who appreciate the simplicity of plain text. What I like about it more than anything is the fact that it works with the Files app in iOS. There’s no app-specific library or cloud integration, which only locks you in this specific app and/or specific cloud. You just go to Files, open whatever it is that you need to work on, work on it, close from it, and you’re good to go - the file just saves to that location which it was in originally (pretty much like Pages does). Having said that, the app is really buggy for me (iOS 13, iPad Pro 2018). When I try to create a new file in a specific location more often than not the app just gives me an error pop-up window. In some cases the file ‘being created’ just gets stuck in this location in that ‘can’t create stage’ without me being able to do anything with it whatsoever (like, maybe, deleting it completely and creating a new one). Opening existing files is also buggy. Quite often the app just opens the file into an empty screen, which I then can’t even close from. And the only way to resolve this is to force close the app and start it again. To sum up, there are things that I do like about the app, but in its current (buggy) state I would not trust it with the stuff that’s important to me. I hope this will be fixed in future updates.

Every computer device needs a simple text editor. Microsoft Windows has Notepad and macOS has TextEdit. A text editor is ideal for many writing needs; from quick notes to long documents. While it doesn’t support text formatting it does provide documents that can be read on any computer device and are of very small size. There are a few simple text editors for iOS but QuickText is, in my view, the best. The user interface is extremely simple but the app has extensive settings that enable you to tailor it to your preferences. Highly recommended

Perfect for stripping whatever formatting a website imposes, and getting back to just plain text. No bold and font changes and arbitrary indentation from whatever well-meaning web designer imposed. Just words. A practical tool for the web brutalist, or anyone who needs to clear a text of static and noise.

Finally an app which does good google drive simple text file note syncing!
