Started out loving this app. Have had for several years. But devs have done nothing with it and have never responded to any requests or concerns. Last straw was when my old iPad was damaged and even though this app was downloaded to new iPad from the cloud, all my data was gone. Blocks, quilts, and 100s of fabrics that took me weeks to add. All of it. Gone. .
I love that this app has so many easy to use features, effectively combining multiple apps into one, and doesn't require a subscription to use, however, the only two things I find kind of annoying is that when placing a fabric image into a space, I cannot reposition the photo to accurately showcase certain patterns, and when creating custom block templates, the amount of shapes is limited. This poses an issue to me when trying to digitize some of the blocks I have pattern cards for and I'm trying to fill all the negative spaces. Also, just as a curious side note, I see empty slots in the shapes wheel in the custom block template builder, and I'm wondering how to acquire more shapes to fill the empty slots.
Love that I can see what fabrics I want to use and what it will like in block and quilt.
I am blown away by this program! You can figure out how to use it in literally minutes. You can audition fabrics for your desired quilt. It has many built in traditional blocks (conveniently ordered in alphabetical order) but you can easily design your own. All this power for $15- fantastic!
I really want to love this app—the UI is well designed, I love the range of features, and as a beginning quilter it seems incredibly user-friendly. The problem is, it keeps crashing whenever I try to save anything! I can’t make any of my own blocks or quilts because the app closes whenever I press “done.” If anyone can help me troubleshoot this, please let me know—I really want to leave a good review.
I was excited to use this app, it’s easy to learn and has great POTENTIAL! Be that as it may, it has a lot of limitations that are totally frustrating. It is very limited in it’s design unless you want straightforward traditional quilt design, but if you want something unique, the app isn’t there. It limits you to one border. When selecting blocks, you see ALL of the blocks you have made, even if you only want to see a select few. The only way to get rid of “seeing” all the blocks is if you delete them, but to delete them you also have to delete all the quilts that use the block. I’ve written the developer a couple of times, but I doubt they will ever make the changes, so I do not recommend getting this app at this time. It’s kind of a dead end, such a shame.
Five plus stars Would like to see a place to put notes and be able to edit the size of the border highly recommend
Every time I try to add fabric photos of my stash it crashes
This app only works if you’re making a quilt out of squares. It does not allow the user to set the width of borders or add more than one border. I tried to make a quilt that looks like a brick wall with 9”x3” bricks and 1” sashing to look like mortar. There is not a way to design this on this app because it will be built in rows and not square. I’m frustrated over how limited the design possibilities are. I expected more for a $15 app
I have been using this app for five years, everything was great until a Few weeks ago. Now when I try to access my photos to add fabric the app closes. I am so used to using this to plan my quilts, that I am lost without it. Thanks. Lorena
