Great app with a few growing pains
Overall I’d say Radiant is a really great Mastodon client. Certainly better than Metatext, which I used before. It still has a few growing pains though, so I hope the author can address these in the near future. - If something goes wrong, you may see an HTTP status code, such as 500 or 403, but it’s not clear which request caused it and no further context or explanation is given. This sometimes makes it hard to see what went wrong or why it went wrong. - One time I’ve noticed a toot that may have had a recursive embed or something like it. Radiant started expanding some embedded content, which also had the same embedded content, which Radiant also tried to expand, and on it went. I had to kill the app to get out of that one. - Navigating to your own profile is a little more cumbersome than I would like (through the Settings tab). - Maybe it’s me but I don’t get what pinning does with hashtags. I can pin, I can unpin. I see no difference. - Refreshing the timeline doesn’t always seem to get all the latest update. Stars and boost counts don’t seem to get updated, and once I deleted a post, but it remained on the timeline. Even after doing a pull to refresh. Clicking on it would give a helpful 404 message.
