Radio X

Good app but recently (Sep 2023) started buffering on 4G! No idea why. Has something changed?

I listen to radio x on DAB so thought I’d download the app to listen on my iPad. Didn’t even get to listen to one track. Firstly a massive list of advertisers to reject cookies for ( Greedy), this it’s not a Radio X app but a generic everybody app (Lies). Having picked radio X it then starts asking my location and what let me progress without providing this data. So here’s my question, when you broadcast this over the air for free why do you need vast swathes of personal data. The answer is you don’t need it. You just want to sell it to marketing companies. it was up to me this would be illegal as fundamentally object to this needlessly intrusive, greedy attitude and refuse to be a part of it. I’m withdrawing my custom because of this.

Both will kick you out of the apps at random times but mainly when trying to get on the subscribed podcasts, very frustrating have deleted and re added the apps but still does it:-(

I use this to catch up on the Chris Moyles show, great for skipping the music and just listening to the chat. The playlists are awesome and the podcast feature is pretty cool. I prefer this over the global player for some reason, it might be the branding ??

App is crap, it constantly replays the song I’ve skipped even after starting a new song.. Also they play Oasis & the Gallaghers all day constantly & plug them incessantly, it’s offensive to my ears, their songs always seem unskippable too!!!

When it works it’s fine but lately it just won’t open. Really annoying

On 5g and this buffers all the time, doesn’t happen with any other radio stations or apps

CarPlay doesn't work any more, it just says "cannot connect to Radio X". Tried Global Player and get the same error.

Crashes randomly half way thru listening to catch up. Does way more often than it should in 2021!

Stuck at loading screen saying "Allow Global to use your app and website activity?". Nothing I do can get past this screen, so pretty useless. The app used to work fine on a mac until they put this silly screen in the way. Come on, you can do better! The app is far better than your crummy web player, so I guess I'll listen to the bbc instead.
