Sound is exciting. Very natural release of staccato notes with bright string resonance. Also there is a very rare effect in ios pianos apps: when you keep one key pressed and play same note in upper or lower octave, you can hear vibrations of note touched before. Also there is very nice behavior of sustain pedal: if you shortly release and push back pedal you’ll get effect of half pressing pedal of real piano, when strings are just partially damped. But why is there only 256 samples option in audio buffer size setup? To lower buffer size I should first open another app supporting such values (e.g. AUM) and then launch Ravenscroft. It’s quiet annoying. I think playing experience with 64 samples buffer is much better. Why can’t you implement this feature?

And if this key keeps pressed while you play same note in upper or lower oktave you can hear vibrations of note touched before.

Thank you so much for this brilliant product. The only thing I would like to ask is this: please give the user the opportunity to switch the sound of a sustain pedal off.

When reinstalling I got charged again even though I bought it years ago.

I’m using this app on an iPhone 6S and love how quick it is to start up with only a cable to connect the midi via the lightning port and then the head phone jack out to speakers. The app has enough customisation settings to get the sound that you want without being over complicated. The sound of the piano is very clear and realistic but possibly lacking the warmth of a Steinway piano. You can always listen to samples online to see if the sound is to your liking. I also have the full version of the ravenscroft running on a Windows laptop with an external digital to analog converter. I rarely use this now because it takes ages to load up, has so many settings that it’s hard to settle on a good sound, and there’s lots of equipment and cables everywhere compared to just the iPhone. I haven’t done a close comparison of the sound quality between the two set ups but the difference is not immediately noticeable to me. If you have a midi keyboard with on-board sounds that are a little tired or like my keyboard starting to crackly then this is a fantastic way of getting a top-notch piano sound without spending much money.

I really like the sound quality made through this fine music app. There is only one thing lack: record and playback options. Please make these available in the future update.

Everything else is poor by comparison and I have most of them . Sounds great and plays great .

With latest update this piano no longer works with a midi keyboard. Prior to this it worked but gave audio glitches about every 30 seconds. I had high hopes for this piano but the product just does not deliver.
