There are so many bugs with this app and I really just want this to work. First, I have never been able to set this up as an owner and can only log in as a guest. The owner login fails every time. Next I get a non stop pop up Raymarine wants to use b2clogin.com. This pop up NEVER goes away and I cannot communicate how frustrating this is. Raymarine, you are a huge company, hire a decent developer and for the love of god fix this app!!!!!!
YIKES! BAD!
YIKES! Raymarine are we serious? I have been helping you as a beta tester since inception of Lighthouse. This app is beyond bad. App says can’t connect because iPhone not connected to Internet, but I can successfully use the internet to re install the app and search for solutions and post this review.
Horrible
I love my axiom units but the app crashes constantly.
READ before PURCHASING
If you are purchasing this device for alerts and peace of mind while not onboard your vessel, don’t. The app does not send notifications, you have to go into the app, into the alert menu, then you will only see the alerts. That to me is not an alert. It also links your mobile number to the alert to send SMS if there is a high priority alert. This function does not work and there is no way to set the priority of the alert. Furthermore the support for the extremely buggy app is nonexistent, I received a message saying due to the fact that a boat show was on, there would be delays in receiving support. There are many other issues with this ecosystem, Wi-Fi dropping out and being kicked off the network being one of them. Updating the firmware/software or app does not resolve the issue.
It seems like it would be so easy
Same experience as other reviewers. Connects to my Axiom 9 and mirrors on the display first try, but then complains about poor Wi-fi connection and says move closer even if I am sitting right behind the chartplotter and iPad shows strong Wi-fi connection. If it drops or iPad turns off, it will never connect again - just says “Reconnecting…”, complains about poor wi-fi and says connection lost.
I can tell from the other reviews that this is the common experience. Seriously, if this is the best you can do, then why bother releasing the app? I guess testing in the field is not something they do in Belgium. Piss poor showing, guys!
This app is an embarrassment.
This app is unstable and fails to maintain a connection to the Axiom MFD. I don’t know if that’s entirely the app or just bad Wi-Fi implementation on the Axiom but the app reports a poor Wi-Fi signal just a few feet from the Axion despite IOS reporting a strong signal. When it works it’s laggy and the screen resolution is grainy and hard to read. It looks like Raymarine just grabbed some open source screen mirroring app like VNC, put a wrapper on it and called it a day. Oh, and it ignores screen rotation in IOS, All in all its just barely usable and is a disappointment since I was counting on this to work reliably.
Constantly loses connection with IPad that’s 12’ away
When it works, it is great. But, it routinely loses connection. I have to close and reopen the app. I’m in an aluminum boat with a pilot house, but the iPad is only 12’ away from my 9” Axiom with nothing in the way. Went round and round with customer service who said they’ve never heard of such a problem and suggested changing the WiFi settings, which we did. Nothing corrected the problem🤦♂️We’ve repeated the issue with all 3 Axioms, 2 iPads, and 2 IPhones. Not sure if it’s an app issue or an Axiom issue.
Stay away from Raymarine!
This is the worst app. It doesn’t work for its one intended purpose, to mirror the MFD display. It drops often, like every minute - not cool when boating in thick fog. Have the app on an iPad and iPhone but it won’t let me log in on iPhone, just error messages saying wrong email or password but won’t let me update either. Worked once on iPhone and not again since. Forgot password gives same error message. Deleted app and reinstalled and still same message. The radar itself, brand new, has similar issues, like not showing boats when they are close by! What’s the point of radar?? Wish we could start completely over!!
Can’t even set up the account
What kind of app doesn’t even allow you to set up the account? Well, it’s this one. :-(
Useless
Loses connection constantly. Can’t interact with autopilot.
