Why is there a constant problem with the lights connecting or having no connectivity in the app?

Integration with Apple home is really the next step for Red Sea. The app seems ok. There are delays in response to devices but not often. I only have the ATO+ and the LED50. I do plan on getting more RS kit to make the most out of this app and the RS gear. Definitely voice activation for Feed Mode, Maintenance Mode etc.

I’m a big fan of the Red Sea products but quite frankly this app is not good enough for the premium price that we pay for the products. It is always full of issues, it has a clunky interface, connecting to devices is so temperamental and it took me well over an hour to connect up to my light. And no, it is definitely not my wifi!!

Almost £1000 of us equipment and it does not work constantly stalling on a brand-new system risking the life of all the livestock. I started to speak to my local fish shop who I purchased it from, but they cannot help as red sea insist everything is done through them even within 30 days. Waste of time, I will be returning and taking legal action to be refunded against my local fish shop

Reefdose 4 setup has no option to not restore a setup and if I press any of the options, restore or restore settings it just hangs with no explanation and have to quit the app just to repeat the same process. I am running the latest app updates and firmware. I am constantly having issues with the reefdose dropping connection, wish I just went with another dosing pump provider as this doser and app combo just does not work at all!

I would like to say that as far as physical products are concerned I cannot fault Red Sea as a company however, I have never come across an app with some many bugs and issues. Nothing seems to work smoothly constant issues with onboarding device and even something so basic as the app understanding the time zone and adjusting the lighting accordingly.

Having issues with the ReefMat 500. The App doesn’t send messages back to Red Sea, can’t seem to get any assistance at all!!

Most of my equipment is Red Sea also got an Apex which the skimmer & heater is plugged into. Apex stopped working. no notification from apex but had one from Red Sea that the skimmer was offline which alerted me to the problem. Which allowed me to rectify the problem without any loss to the aquarium

Be careful switching Wi-Fi, the app will want you to delete your network and the set it up again at which point the app will not reconnect back with the Wi-Fi, my light have not been able to reconnect for days now and customer service have only told me to try what I have already! Despite telling them I had spent hours and hours trying everything! This is not a reliable service! Why no on/off hardware switch? So in times of connectivity issues you can at least switch the switch and you can turn lights on and off manually?? Awful service.
