Rewind: Truly Personalized AI

The app exclusively records your safari sessions. Which I just don’t find very useful. What I really wanted was an audio recorder for meetings. I’d accept that integrating with other apps is very hard. But they could have let me record an audio file from and in person meeting and synced the transcript back to my desktop. If this was all that I had to say about the app I’d give it a 3/5 But it also happens to crash every time I ask it a question, so 1/5

UPDATE: December 2024 About every 3 months I reinstall this hoping that the bugs will have been fixed. Yet again, it’s useless. It claims that there are no screenshots when I can easily verify that there are, both in the photos app and in Rewind itself ————————- I love the idea of Rewind AI and very much want it to work. There have been moments where worked but it consistently degrades and stops working. I give up. There are much more reliable ways to do what Rewind promises to do. Very sad.

I was happy paying for the Rewind subscription when it started, but then one problem after another arose. They got an astounding number of subscribers but were clearly confused about their business model. They kept changing from Rewind to a useless transformation called Limitless, which removed all the useful features. Now, there is a promised hardware called Pendant for which you have to pay in advance to queue up, only to find that the costs have doubled because they imposed additional charges that were not indicated in advance. It's a completely nontransparent team that has lost its goals and is now solely focused on milking people through costly subscriptions rather than delivering a good product. This is a typical example of "too fast, too soon" and greed taking over their vision

Updates aren’t being rolled out for rewind mobile because of limitless, right?

Cool app with a generous free plan but need the ability to clear timeline history, selectively and entirely. Edit: 5 star review dropped to 1 star, as the developer has stated in a review response that their new app has taken priority and they will not be updating Rewind in the foreseeable future. This app is in need of a major overhaul to usability, functionality, and UI, so if it will just be sitting as is, then I unfortunately won’t be continuing to use the app.

I was using this app and recorded a zoom call. When I was viewing the transcript there were things that I never said being relayed back in the transcript. APPLE STORE YOU NEED TO TAKE THIS APP DOWN!

Heidi, please make this app more user friendly to the average person. The timeline should not be where this app opens. I think you really need a UI polish. Please don’t give up on this, it really has a lot of potential.

I would love for this to work. However only a small portion of websites I visit in Safari or screenshots I take seem to get imported into the app. And there’s no way to manually import anything. It just decides not to work sometimes and doesn’t give you any feedback as to what’s going on under the hood. I even tried to manually activate the extension in safari but that doesn’t seem to do anything. It also does not expose any extensions to iOS. Seems like it would be fairly obvious that after parsing the screenshots it would expose that to the iOS system search functionality. Rewind is a cool idea, but it’s not particularly useful in its current form. Yay for not requiring an account setup or subscription payments though, I do appreciate that it just does its thing without any of that hassle.

I go to a wikipedia article for Balatro. Later, I search in Rewind for "balatro". 0 results. So, not only no OCR but… not even visited URLs are searchable. Broken?

I love this and the desktop app. But I don’t use it often enough to justify the cost. I really really wish there was a pay as you go tier for those of us who use it at most 2-4 times a month.
