Riffr

I loved using this app for short recordings of nature sounds and the out of nowhere the app was reset and it won’t let me reset the password. Contacted for help and no response. Disappointed

I was excited about the idea. Too bad I couldn’t get past the setup window!

It doesn’t work.

Downloaded the app on my iPhone and it doesn’t work. It takes me through the first three pages and then when I push start nothing happens.

I can play other casts but it doesn’t stay playing when I move out of the app, or even when I move someplace within the app itself. If I want to listen to the whole thing I need to stay in that spot. It also doesn’t remember where you where in the track, I know it’s just three minutes but starting over is a drag. I tried uploading on two separate occasions, ones a 3:00 and the other a 1:00. After I typed in the tags and descriptions, it took a long while to upload, and the app kinda hung up on me and I lost my recordings. I’d like to ask the app developer to contact me when they make some updates so I can try it again. For now, it’s a no for me.

I try to customize my profile, but it doesn’t save it. And it keeps giving me a generic handle. So disappointing.

Reviewed this app a few months ago citing problems with accessibility and VoiceOver. Unfortunately with the latest update, things have gotten worse. Since you cannot input texts with VoiceOver running, you can’t even login to use the app! As I’d mentioned earlier, Riffr has a lot of potential, but failing to address concerns over problems with VoiceOver makes this app for someone like me, nothing more than a waste of bandwidth. Please Devs, do better.

Riffr is great! It allows me to express myself and share things to the world in a new and innovative way by simply talking into the microphone or adding an audio file.

It’s a great app the only part that becomes a little confusing is when you type voiceover does not read the characters when you were typing. Such as editing your profile or giving you recordings descriptions.
