If you love Rugby Union, then this is the quiz app for you. Can you beat the app? The multiple choice questions cover all aspects of International Rugby Union, including famous (and not so famous) players, coaches, matches, Rugby World Cup tournaments, Northern and Southern Hemisphere competitions, as well as the rules and the history of the game. 250+ questions included with the app, with a further question bank of 1000+ additional questions available to purchase.
Each game consists of 30 questions. For every question you answer correctly, the rugby ball will move to your left (i.e. towards your attacking try-line). For every question you answer incorrectly, the rugby ball will move to your right (i.e. towards your defending try-line). If you answer a question correctly when the ball is at your attacking try-line, you will score a try - i.e. 5 points. You will then be asked 2 bonus questions. If you answer BOTH of these questions correctly, you will score a conversion - i.e. a further 2 points.
If, however, you answer a question incorrectly when the ball is at your defending try-line, you will concede a try - i.e. your opponent will score 5 points.
After you select your answer, a correct answer will turn green, and an incorrect answer will turn red. Any questions answered incorrectly will be re-asked in a future quiz, with any previous wrong answers being highlighted in red and frozen so your odds of choosing the correct answer increases from 1 in 4 to 1 in 3.
Just like in a real rugby match, the app tracks your percentage of "Possession" (the number of questions you answer correctly) and "Territory" (which half of the pitch you are in - the attacking or defending half) in each 30-question game.
There is no time limit for each question, so take as long as you need to work out the correct answer.
The High Scores page tracks your top 3 scores.
The quiz can be played offline. No registration or login is required. All questions are correct as at October 2019.
