Russian Cyrillic in 3 Hours

The videos play fine but there is no sound to them, making it pointless. Very disappointed after I saw all the good reviews regarding this app.

Although the UI is a tad dated, the ease of learning this app provides is beyond all others. I strongly recommend it to anyone starting to learn Cyrillic.

I used this app to teach myself the Cyrillic alphabet as preparation for a visit to Russia. The contextual approach to learning is remarkably effective and the knowledge I gained made my visit to Russia so much more rewarding. Thank you to Mark and the team for putting this together.

I tried a bunch of apps trying to learn Russian and this I absolutely fell in love with! Easy and clear examples for beginners with easy to follow videos and just what I needed as a beginner! Definitely recommend to everyone wanting to learn Russian and Russian alphabets.

Around 9 years ago, I used this app to learn Cyrillic in under 3 hours. I have still retained a remarkably significant amount of it (probably ~70-80%) without any practice because the comparisons they make to the shape of latin letters were so effective at ingraining it in my memory. I can’t speak Russian, but I can sure sound it out even to this day.

I have been learning Russian from the “Russian Made Easy” podcast. I only recently started using this app so I can learn Cyrillic. This app takes the learning experience to a new level, and I feel like I have a much better grasp on the language as a result. The team that put this together created the most effective way to learn Russian naturally, and in a way that makes me want to learn even more. This “language companion app” is so good, that even if you are not actively trying to learn Russian, I think you will enjoy using this app just for fun. You may be surprised how great it feels to learn in a gradual, and fun way.

As basic as this app is, it is the most intuitive and easy way to learn the Cyrillic alphabet! I highly recommend to anyone trying to learn it.

I'm an avid language buff and probably have 20-30 foreign language apps on my iPad. I think this is the best one I’ve seen in any language. It’s just a series of videos, but he leads you through learning to read Cyrillic at just the perfect pace, with great context along the way to make it as intuitive as possible. I really only intended to learn the alphabet so I could sound out written Russian for fun. But now I think I’ll check out his full language apps or website. If they’re anything like this, it’ll be a joy to learn. Amazing app!
