Sabres of Infinity

Without a doubt my favourite author of this type of writing and my favourite of all his work so far. Playing the sequel now.

Paul is a spectacular writer who has built a rich and exciting world. I've been following development for years and this is a rich story with a great level of historical accuracy (for a fictional world) with believable characters. If you're looking for a challenging simulation with meaningful choices, Great writing and engaging characters then I can't recommend Sabres enough.

I've played a lot of the choice and hosted games and this one has to be in the top three!! Story is great many different choices and outcomes as well!! I've read this one for a year and am still finding new stuff and enjoying the story lines I have played countless times before!! Can't wait for the next one and will buy it as soon as it comes out!! If you liked ANY of the choice or hosted games books you will like this one too.

A wonderful read where the choices were naturally woven into the story. I cannot wait for the upcoming installment to this well crafted game.

A compelling story in a very richly detailed world with an interesting dynamic to boot. Do you go for personal glory in honor to the King? Or are you a father to your men, ensuring their loyalty to you in the dark days to come? Trying to balance the responsibilities of leadership while navigating the complicated hierarchy of your fellow nobility is a challenge indeed, one which you may not survive with your reputation intact. Four solid stars. If you like the fighting fantasy line of books then this one is for you, overall an excellent addition to the Hosted Games lineup.

Great text based game/interactive novel. Sequel is great too. Unfortunately it has some software issues. I was in the final chapter of this game and switched apps for a few minutes. The game wiped my save and started me in the first chapter. Mind you this was after successfully going through the chapters and reloading the save over the course of 3 days. Real buzzkill when you get that far and lose it all. The developer should look into fixing problems like this, if they did the game would be an easy 5 stars, but otherwise it depends how much time you have and/or how much frustration you’re willing to put up with.
