Sam - Your smart companion

I like this software! Not sure if this has been abandoned but the location reminders don’t work at all. The only thing missing is the ability to creat lists. I would love to be able to use the return key to start a new line but even better would be the rich text support similar to what the iPhone mail software has as that would allow you to format text and create bullet point lists too. Make these change and I’ll change my review from 4 stars to 5.

I struggled to find a good app that would help me with my productivity while also dealing with my ADHD, and for the longest time I kept switching from app to app every year - until now. Sam has been such a great companion so far, and it’s so well built with a great polish too, which tells you that the developer has a great eye for good design (and I thoroughly appreciate that!). The only thing that saddens me is that this app hasn’t been updated in a year, and I worry that now that I’ve found the perfect app for me, it might slowly go unattended and forgotten (I reeeally hope that’s not the case!). Anyway, I’ve just bought a subscription, looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this exceptional app.

As a jaded experimenter with experience of many todo apps, first impressions were unusually good. No red flags from the UX or tone. Adding various conditions to tasks gave me hope that they might be surfaced later in a useful way, taking those conditions into account. Unfortunately that doesn’t really happen. The effort that has gone into the surfacing of tasks does not correspond to the care that has gone into entering them. There are no extra views, filters, or other help on that side, and I can tell that this will become a problem once a reasonable number of tasks has been entered. I suspect that the developer is aware of this though and improvements on that side might be on the way.

Works really, really well. So much more that the usual ToDo Apps that I’ve tried and believe me I’ve tried virtually all of them. Pricing is very competitive and fair, nice to see. So five stars, however here’s the but… I hate the app Icon and Watch Complication, both look childish to me so some further choice would be very much appreciated please 🙏 Something like Castro, the brilliant app for podcasts, choice of colours and choices of actual icons too. Go with this and you’ve completely nailed the reminder and todo categories in the App Store, this is really “that” good 👍

I love this app, the conditions make it so easy to see when doing a task best suits you , I think the app is great , easy to understand and just generally very effective in day to day life

Would be even more amazing if I could sync across devices via an account/link an account

I use Sam on a daily basis it’s is just spectacular and I ain’t a robot peeps trust me and if I was I robot I wouldn’t even be doing this bc I don’t ever do a review bc I normal say no but I had to rate this bc it is just too good not to put a review on

A good app. Would be better if: - have a reminder at a specific time (and pops up in the notification center) for important tasks. - when im adding new tasks, IOS keyboard pops up and covers half of the page, so i really cant see what im typing.

Fantastic for task management, I’ve tried a number of similar apps but this one stands out.
