the recent change that makes the app nag me to enable location access is obnoxious. it does it not only on restart but when opening the app from a background state, and often even while going between menus in the app. it slows down everything as well

Has a small issue with not providing exact tracking

Just getting used to it ! So far so good!

This app has so many problems. Currently image capture is down, so we have no way to send in paperwork. I hate that you can’t cut and paste from inside messages. When typing, in every other app in the world, when you shift to use a comma, the keyboard will automatically change back to the normal keys after you space, not this stupid app. It will randomly log you out, and to log back in, you have to go on duty. So if you are in the middle of your 10, you can’t open the app to check your hours or you will mess up your break. When saving shipping IDs, there is no good way to remove past ones. They all just pile up and get added to your day, and you have to remove them manually before certifying your logs. You would think that as long as this app has been out, these basic issues would be fixed by now. Especially since there are updates almost weekly, that seem to change nothing. It’s a terrible system for the driver.

This app is a dumpster fire for PC. Kicks you to on duty randomly by asking" Do you want to stay in PC or go Off Duty?" while you are driving! If you select stay in PC it will reward you with one minute of on duty driving then put you back on PC. Dumbest thing I have ever seen. Been using it for five years at three different companies and it did it at all three. The ONLY TIME it should change is if driver selects or driver runs up against company restricted time or distance. Another product designed by people in an office, driving a desk that should never be allowed to make products used by an actually useful, productive human being. Actually sent an email complaint to Samsara about this but they apparently have no concern to fix this. Again dumbest feature I have ever seen and it is obviously programmed in, not a bug.

Reliable

When the vehicle is parked, the app is showing that I'm still driving, which can trigger a violation. Checking your side mirrors, sometimes will give you an inattentive violation. Half broken app, crucial updates are needed.

Works great

The latest updates have introduced a host of new issues, including not being able to run in the background properly and having a redundant HOS screen pop up (which requires an interaction to close) when initiating driving status. The HOS do not always display properly and can, do, often send erroneous notifications. Feedback falls on deaf ears, it seems. What a disaster this has become
