Horrible text size

Just can’t read. There are three text sizes, the first is just tooooo small, while the second is already uncomfortably large. And why is this space at the edges?

Serious issue with the latest update

All my past issues downloaded dated back for years are no longer accessible through the app! They are lost in the storage of my iPad although still taking up the same space. The downloaded folder of the app is blank, showing no issue was ever downloaded but the storage in setting reported the app still takes up 12 Gb of space just the same as before updating! Now I lost all the issues downloaded, and have to re-download them again, using up more storage space unnecessarily and some of past issues are also no longer available for download. This is ridiculous. How could the app update be released with such serious bug??!! Not only is Scientific American refused to acknowledge the problem and help, they just eventually rudely ignored my emails after several exchanges. And worse of all, the newly updated app is flawed that some issues failed to download properly leaving many pages blank with error message asking subscriber to update the edition, but leaving a subscriber completely helpless as there is no way to activate any update at all! Frustrating and now considering cancelling my subscription!

Best written, most important topics of any science magazine

I get 5 science magazines, plus look at others online. Sci am has had by far the best, and often only coverage of the new $2 trillion nuclear bomb program, nuclear waste, and covered the many existential threats in addition to climate change which gets far too much attention in this polycrisis

SCIAM continues to provide a wealth of scientific literature

This journal has always been known as a compendium of current and historical scientific news. It is readable by anyone with STEM education and covers a wide variety of topics.

It’s fine

I mean it’s a run-of-the-mill news app. Nothing special. I just wish that they would adopt the policy of everyone else and have a dark mode rather than trying to burn our retinas out.
