Don’t even bother with this app, it does not work. Camera/scope does not connect, help instructions not available. You get bunch of general mumbo jumbo that does not help anyone. This app should be rated at negative 5 stars.
They make it so hard to set up. Still couldn’t get it to work. Product doesn’t connect to wireless.
Connected to the wifi access point on the device from two different iPads, one of which was brand new. App would still not recognize that the device was connected so dead-end and useless purchase of app+device. Zero troubleshooting help in the app and zero response from the company.
Hardware used is solid, resolution pretty good, etc. but this about the app that it works with. Very few settings to play with, and I cannot seem to get the video to work. It records, the videos show up in the library, but none of them actually play. And when I save videos to phone library, they all appear having zero seconds of play time. In other words, video feature just seems not to work at all. Probably an easy fix. I'll be happy to change my review if/when that happens
I got the Fit ScopeAround from Kickstarter today on October 14, 2016. I decide to test it on my iPad Air 2. At first it didn't seem to work even after connecting without any problems via wifi. So I checked the resolution which was set by default at 1280p. I had read a couple weeks ago on the Comments section in Kickstarter for ScopeAround that the creators had lowered the resolution to increase compatibility with older devices. On a hunch, I lowered it to 800p resolution. Then the scope worked perfectly. Then I decided to change the resolution back to 1280p to see it might work. Unbelievably, it even worked on 1280p resolution without a glitch. I think with an update even this weird event won't happen. I haven't tried using this with my current iPhone 6, or the iPhone 7 that I would be getting soon. But so far the fact it worked well with my iPad seems to auger well.
