I used to love this news app. However the new update includes a wave of ads that ruin the user experience entirely. Please allow option to skip ads after 5 seconds, limit the long ads, or allow option to pay to remove ads

Some of these stories are more than a week old. I want current news..no yesterdays or three days ago, but today.

This app is exactly what I was looking for. It will show you the headlines with a short written description ( right to the point) with an accompanying video if you need more details and images. Excellent.

They provide the most non biased news

I check in with the news daily on my iPad,and watch their news channel on my roku tv. One of the best apps out there today.

Good content, good efforts, but I’ve finally removed the app from my Apple TV (ATV) altogether. It’s frankly insane to expect ATV viewers to watch ads between every (very short) clip, or every other clip. More ads are seen than news. This makes no sense, especially when other content aggregator apps offer the same Newsy clips commercial-free. Try offering a paid version (ad free) to help support your efforts, or an inexpensive subscription model rather than annoying people into deleting the app. :(

Very nice and necessary design but script of the news are not readable

I like the simplicity of this app. There are a few others who offer something similar, but their interfaces are cluttered and limited.

Really good app

Newsy is a great way to get your news fast via video or transcript and it just keeps getting better. There is a current bug in iOS 10 that may interrupt your Newsy experience, however after discussing it with Newsy they provided a fix. The issue is if you are seeing closed captions over your news video but do not have that feature enabled in iOS. The temporary solution is quick and easy to rid yourself of it. Simply navigate to Settings > General > Accessibility > Subtitles & Captioning. On that screen switch the toggle on and off a few times and then leave it in the off setting. Force-quit Settings and Newsy, restart the app and this should not happen again until a fix is put out. Enjoy Newsy!
