Sengled Bluetooth

I used to use this app, and it works perfectly fine, I don’t understand the other reviews but I guess it’s how it works for them. 1 year later, I tried using this with my mom, unfortunately the Bluetooth thing didn’t connect and wasn’t working. We tried everything but no.

This is absolutely trash dont purchase these bulbs!! i recently moved and i took my bulb with me. the app will no longer let me change the bulb’s colour and it was incredibly difficult to connect to my phone.

TLDR it is only possible to schedule one on/off cycle per 24hr period because the app is poorly coded. You can set “scenes” which are timed events with their own light settings. If you have more than one scheduled event, for the same bulb, changing any setting on one event will change the settings for ALL OF the other events. Ergo it would be impossible to schedule anything other than turn on at x time in a 24hr cycle and turn off at x time every 24 hour cycle. More than one on/off cycle per 24hr period, more than one brightness setting, colour changes, are all impossible because the settings are universal. This is misleading because you can set a day’s routine worth of on off events, with different icons, times, colours, intensity etc. but the app was probably coded in an afternoon and it doesn’t function as advertised on the box or in the app.

Terrible, there is no schedule function for a smart plug. Is it a smart plug or a stupid plug?

The lightbulbs are great, but controlling them from this app is terrible. It’s slow and non responsive. I also cannot control the bulbs from a different location to make it look like I am home.

You cannot use the QR code to manually connect if the Bluetooth cannot be discovered. The scan option is there but it does not work when tapping the scan option.

A lot of people are having trouble connecting this to Alexa. DO NOT DO IT WITH THIS APP. It is much more convenient to hit the + button in the upper right in the Alexa app and then “add device” chose the light and hit the Sengled skill. When it asks if your bulb is Bluetooth his yes. You may need to reset the bulb by turning on and off 20 times. It will immediately find your bulb and connect. Simply add it to the group you want and your all set after 3 minutes. You’re welcome

I tried changing its color but it will not Connect and is Not the same color it’s was when I last had it on

The share app feature does not work and Technical support said today they are working on fixing the bug. The QRCode app transfers the lights to another phone but they don’t work. The family can not have control of lights right now. Only one phone can until this is fixed.

The app needs to add widget functionality.
