Sensate: Stress/Anxiety Relief

Super nice app and i love the Sensate. Sometimes i just want to start a program while using my phone at the same time, but some apps that include sound like Instagram and Netflix app pause the Sensate program. It would be nice if you could use other apps and have a Sensate program running in the background.

Please look into creating opportunities to personalise the way we access tracks. A simple “Favorites” section would make a big difference. I often find myself scrolling through many different tracks, because I can’t find my top three ones.

Don’t get me wrong. The app works fine and the Sensate is awesome. However, there have been no content updates for years, and the sensate was hella expensive. The potential for mediations with this device is crazy, but development is next to nonexistent. Missed opportunity.

It takes 10+ minutes to even get the thing to start and if you are trying to squeeze in a quick session or trying to calm your mind to get to sleep-its great when it works but it should link to phone press start and go…not 4-10 minutes to transfer carefully curated session which is the same as the last one. Perhaps if this is corrected I’ll update this review.

In a bid to get you to spend more on an already expensive device, Sensate provides very few ‘free’ sessions. And those that do provide are randomly dispersed in the list of options. Bait and switch at its finest. Do better Sensate. Provide more free options and make them easy to find.

App requires internet to log in, which means I was unable to use my Sensate at all during a 16 hour flight. I don’t even see the point of having accounts in the first place besides data gathering, the app has 0 features related to your account after you log in.

I love this app but it constantly is buzzing instead of purring. Very sad that a great app is compromised in this manner.

After years of nervous system deregulation from way too much stress: brutal long covid including pain, gut issues, insomnia, panic attacks, tremors, brain fog, fatigue…and then three close friends dying, and divorce…this really helped soothe me. I use it to fall asleep at night. I just love the sensation and sound track. It’s one of my tools to rebuild my regulation. In other words-I really like it.

I have used three of these now bc they all stop working at some point. The vibration will not work, even though the device is connected. I have gone through every piece of trouble shooting. There is a major lack of customer service. No one will respond to emails and there is no phone number to reach out to. I just bought my third Sensate today, straight out of the box zero vibration. I give up at this point. Don’t waste your money.

While I have been happy with the device itself, the company has pivoted very hard towards a subscription model since I purchased the device two years and has made it difficult to uncover free sessions in the app.
