Sentry Pro—For your Tesla

Update-the developer reached out to me right away and said it wasn’t receiving telementry from the car. After some trouble shooting it appears to be working. I’ll continue to test to make sure that it is consistent. Seems like this would provide peace of mind for $40 a year. I set up the free trial, had it connected to the car, notifications were turned on. I then put Sentry mode on, had a friend walk around the car and try to open the doors. I never received a notification from Sentry Pro. I checked the Tesla cameras and it did record a sentry incident. We looked over the settings again, tried a second time and no notifications. The app pretty much has one job to do and if it can’t do it 100% of the time, then it’s useless.

Great product! Had an issue of app not recognizing when my car was in sentry mode. Went back and forth a couple of times via email with customer service and they resolved the issue. This was even on a weekend and they went out of their way to help. Thanks!

Had a simple question about the app before purchasing. One month later no response to the support ticket. Didn’t give me much faith in the devs. I like the idea of the app though.

Amazing love this really helpful for a tracking. Who’s by your Tesla? What happens to it.

Developers will go above and beyond for customers who have technical issues like I did.

Has not worked as far as notifying me when the car is being touched. Why don’t we have access to the cameras on the app?

This is truly just an annoying little app. When it notifies you of a sentry alert it, merely takes you to your tesla app where you then have to go into sentry, live view on your own. I thought, at best, like the new Tesla function on alarms, it would show you the sentry video. At a minimum it would open the Tesla app and take you to the live view. It does neither of those things. So by the time you actually open the Tesla app, go to sentry and then live view, the incident is gone. Don’t get why anyone would find this useful.

Notifies you when no one is around, doesn’t notify you when people walking by the car. This app has one job and it doesn’t even do the job it wants to do. Utterly useless. And they want you to subscribe lol.

No matter if my Model Y is on wifi or cellular, same for my phone, i never received any alerts. Id go to my car and had missed sentry alerts in the car’s tablet but nothing in my phone. Notifications were allowed on the phone. I left both the tesla app and Sentry app open. Doesnt work. Dont waste ur time nor $
