Seoul Subway - Official App.

This recently released official app not only shows the Subway map & station information, but it also shows real-time train locations which is very useful. It also includes useful information on fares, tickets, how to use the Subway etc., as well as letting you easily see which lines have express trains. Plus it has plenty of information for tourists - press the Tour button at the top of the map to see major tourists sites, or click the Tour tab at the bottom of the page to see events happening that day. Overall, this app will be very helpful for anyone visiting Seoul. (I was previously using a pre-release version of this app which had a number of usability issues, but I'm very happy to see that they have fixed all the issues and made the app a lot easier to use).

SETUP TIPS: 1) On the initial setup screen, click the word "Language" (even though it doesn't seem to be something you can click on, it is) and click OK to change language to English. The app needs to close to change the language. Relaunch the app to continue. 2) If it makes you enter a mobile phone number, search google for "sample Korean mobile number" and use one of those numbers. ------------------------------------------------------------ When you view the English map on Seoul Metro's website it gives you a popup telling you to try this app. The info on the App Store for this app is all in Korean, despite English being shown as the only language that this app works for. The app actuality works for both Korean and English. When you first download the app you need to change the language to English (see above), then you have to agree to their terms and enter a mobile phone number before you can access anything in the app. I fumbled through the setup in Korean using Google Translate, then managed to find the non-intuitive way to change the language to English which can actually be done on the initial setup screen. The app works like most other similar apps. There is a box which always sits over the map near the top left of the screen that says "Express | Tour" - Express lets you view lines that have express service, Tour shows you tourist related information. One annoying thing is that some boxes don't have an X to close them - sometimes clicking a blank part of the screen outside the box will close it, otherwise you have to drag the top of the box down to the very bottom of the screen to close it.

어플에서 위치확인 후 지하철역리스트의 지하철역을 클릭하면 어플이 꺼집니다. 계속 그렇습니다.

만들어놓고 선택이 안되는 아이러니...

큰 돈들여서 기능도입했으면 유지관리도 잘 해야죠… 요즘 같은 세상에 위치 못잡아서 온도조절 등의 민원 신청이 안된다니… 그리고 더 문제는 위치공유할 땐 정확히 잡혀서 공유됨. 즉, 위치는 잡지만 민원 기능과 제대로 호환이 안된다는 뜻?! 답답허다 세금으로…

위치가 잘 잡히지가 않네요 많은 리뷰들의 내용이기도한데, 왜 개선이 되지않는지요?

실시간 지하철의 호수가 안맞음. 열차 위치가 잡혔다 안잡혔다 반복되고…긴급한 일이 있어서 어차피 위치가 안맞으니 무용지물일 듯
