It’s Shadertoy, and it’s on your phone. What could be better?
I was checking the site on my phone, and wondered if there was an app for it. I read comments about it not working, but some of them are pretty old, so I decided to test it myself. Don’t expect the same performance than on a computer with dedicated graphic cards, but still you’ll be able to run a lot of the demos on your iPhone. Good job!
Just a gray screen.
Perhaps the developer can open source this so others can take over development. It seems this isn’t receiving updates any longer despite the non stop crashes and minimal features.
would be nice if there were a 'safe mode' which avoids evaluating any shader code. also, it would be great to see an update which hides apple's annoying "soft" home button on phones without real home buttons. also, add a "donate" button. i'll click it !
This app is broken and locked up my phone. I had to power it off and back on as the screen was flipping between two and animations (not supposed to do this) so fast it tied up the cpu from responding to the home button.
I understand the intended audience for this is anyone who likes to look at cool visuals and not so much ST contributors, but as a programmer I'd love to be able to enable an "advanced" version that would show a button to allow me to inspect the code for a given shader. If there is something like this already I could not find it. I think it's totally awesome that you've created a new, probably much wider channel for ST contributors to find viewers.
Last release was February and here it is months later, still broken. What a shame.
Just displays a gray screen :(
