I haven’t had the chance to actually try the app after being eligible for one, Struggling to understand if this actually works. I had exactly the same experience reported by many reviewers - unable to add payment methods, visa and mastercard debit cards not accepted. Does it make any sense requesting a credit card to pay another credit card? Wasted time.

I have been using Shell for years, with a debit card in my business account. I lost my card and I came to update and now they demand a credit card payment. I will be consulting Deliveroo and GMB Union advising them not to promote this app any longer.

Utter waste of time, same as others here, you can ONLY use credit cards only but shell doesn’t make that clear, also the contact is disgraceful ignoring for days or no response at all…. All this effort for 7 days credit only! This shell card is not fit for purpose, It will verify your debit cards but shell won’t accept you paying credit with your own bank cards, they require you to pay with a credit card… 30 days credit they said! Rubbish do yourselves a favour and get a Costco card to save fuel money honestly the difference in a year compared to shell will be an extra Holliday on its own! Jokers!

I used to shell app fine for months however now when I try to add a new payment method I am met with a message back saying something along the lines of “oops, please use correct card (Mastercard or visa)” I have tried with both a Mastercard and a visa and it still doesn’t work. It seems other people are having this issue too

I have tried x2 different VISA and a Mastercard all of which you take a £0.02 payment, then tell me “Oops!! Please only add a Visa or Mastercard payment method”. Absolutely awful, fix this immediately

Right from the get go setting the app up is pain in the back, crashing, freezing up and have to re do all again, getting to the point where you have to add your bank details, doesn’t matter what type of card you use Visa/ Master, basic bank card or credit card, money been taken out of account but it does not progress any further on the app, asking for the same stuff again. No point to contact customer support since they absolutely clueless and are not there to help.

Started using recently with 11 driver cards and it’s pretty good but needs a few additions to be really useful. It’s a nuisance not having a desktop app and a log-in option for someone else. For each purchase, it doesn’t show details, only shows date, price and fuel type, not the amount of fuel or price per litre. Also the location is just the name of the Shell station, not where it is. Being the only administrator (which has to be a company owner) is a nuisance because when I’m away noone else can log in to get bills or check/change drivers’ weekly limits. There’s no alert so when one of my staff tried to buy fuel which would have gone over his weekly limit I didn’t know. His card was declined so he had to pay with his own money.

Brilliant app to track spending with a discount on fuel. The only issue I have is my payment card for invoices has always been a Visa Debit card for over 2 years and never been an issue. My card expired and when adding new Visa Debit card details (same sort code & account number) it gives me a error and support team tell me I can only add a Credit Master Card or Visa.. All this time iv been using a Visa Debit so not sure if thing have changed.. Now the only way for me to pay is waiting for the payment to be declined then paying via the Pay By Link method but that blocks my Fleet Card & have to wait few days before its re activated. Would love a contact number for support team as the email team never understand or don’t reply to in depth queries. Thanks in advance.

Been trying to log in all day. Keeps saying security error. I am stuck. Poor app.
