Poor
Version 2 has been 3 years in the making & whilst it looks a lot more modern it’s significantly worse as regards UX. - giant thumbnails now so scrolling takes 10x longer to locate a clip. Please add an option to make them small, like in the camera view. - live playback, select camera - just is a spinner & never loads - still no option to choose a time in the day to select clips from, which would make things easier. - alerts have stopped working too Support forums are gone now unless you register with Discord. 🤦♂️

Pictures good but freezes and breaks up do not waste your money have found a better app to monitor via iPad.
Clunky
Still clunky and slow, amazingly still no iPhone X screen support. No updates in 10 months.
Good but far to slow!
After having issues with synology I decided to go with sighthound. The app is very slow and almost unusable. Unfortunately after speaking with Sighthound support it appears that a long delay to view cameras is normal. Unfortunately the delay is almost 1min so is not good for me :( now looking at an alternative for live viewing but will keep sighthound for recording as the detection is very good. I would like iPhone 6 plus support as well as the ability to zoom into my live cameras by pinching and zooming but so far so good :)
Awesome
I installed it on my iPhone and iPad and updated the server version to 7.0.12 on y Mac-mini. What a difference it made ! The speed is increased 10 fold and stability appears perfect so far.
Poor support and overpriced
Back in 2017, Sighthound was is a good choice for setting up your own IP camera security on a Mac. The AI-based image recognition is impressive. However after several years of inadequate software updates and poor support, i’ve abandoned it in favor of other similar apps like SecuritySpy, which offer similar features but is much less expensive and seems to be much better supported as a software product. Reliability is particularly important for IP cam software - I don’t think the Sighthound folks understand this - they are more interested in fancy AI vs reliably triggering and recording events without glitches or gaps.
App is crashing
The app is crashing on an iPhone XS with 13.6. I upgraded to 14.6 and the app is still crashing when I try to see the rules.
No Notifications
After latest update notifications no longer work. Make the app useless.
