I discovered today that if you go through the page and use ios 18 Safari's "hide distracting items" feature to get rid of all the ad blocks, autoplaying videos, etc, SingleFile will produce an html file that is also bereft of those items! Great for permanent archiving of news articles.

I use single file in both FireFox and Safari. The Safari version functions slowly when I click “Deny” and has caused Safari to freeze and twice has cause my M1 MacBook Air (16 gb memory and 1 tb storage) to freeze entirely. I hope you will fix this problem. Thank you. Update 12/4/2024: The problem still exists and remains a distinct annoyance. I hope you will fix this problem imminetly. Thank you.

The only reason I've been using FireFox for so long is this extension didn't work in Safari. Now it does! It is so incredibly useful. Don't save or send an incomplete, un-linked screenshot or poorly-formatted PDF of a web page, use this to send the content of the page itself that is not reliant on web access to see every detail. Such an amazing feat of technical acrobatics brought to 1-step for those of us less technical. Thank you so much. Where do we send $$ to support? Can't believe it's free!?!?!
Seriously, in my research work flow there are few tools I couldn’t be without. The all-in-one SingleFile, opened by anything that opens an html file, is one of them. It faithfully captures a webpage like nothing else. Thank you Gildas!
I have been using this extension extensively on Firefox even before it was available on Safari. I don't think there is any other extension that comes close SingleFile in its capabilities. People familiar with web development will appreciate the technical achievement of Gildas Lormeau who developed this extension. Users will appreicate the one-click download of the entire webpage along with the fonts, images, and other assets as a single HTML file which they can open in any browser on any device.
