SiOnyx Aurora

It takes me a few attempts to connect to it. It just stalls once you do connect. I have not been able to see files on my phone. I cannot download the photos and videos because of that.

I’ve had this Aurora Pro for a year, I have contacted tech support about how terrible the app is… still no update or response for Sionyx. Very disappointing. Sionyx needs to completely re-engineer a new app from the ground up!

I wish the camera had a hardwire option

Absolutely horrible and unreliable! Can’t use it for the exact reason I purchased! Very disappointed! It’s a shame because the actual camera is very good.

Crashes CONSTANTLY. Unusable

The camera is great but the app is awful. I managed until the last update since then it’s been terrible

On my iPhone it connects in the expected way by joining network from iPhone in network settings. Camera goes to live mode no issue. But on iPad it will not connect this way. You have to use the button in the app to add the device to the SiOnyx network. Doing it this way with Bluetooth off and airplane mode on is consistent. Not sure why it is this way but after talking to support who was very Helpful this is the design. This app with the camera gives me the night vision I need to run my boat at night safely.

Both my Aurora and Aurora Pro stream perfectly to my iPhone 12 mini with iOS 15. As long as my phone starts out in airplane mode and then I start the app and connect to the camera, it is solid. I always make sure I have a microSD card loaded in the camera in case there’s a firmware update when I open the app. The update happens smoothly without interruption.

Literally stays connected to wifi for 5 seconds, such an expensive camera and doesn’t stay connected to wifi, not only that it just is trash, was gonna return it but times r crazy now and wasn’t thinking about this garbage camera , free apps can do what this does....

You need a reliable live feed when boating. Unfortunately this product is not it. App drops camera feed and forces you to reconnect. Not ideal when reliability is key when on the water and you spend $400 for a product that won’t keep you safe. They need to fix this ASAP.
