SM Cinema Mobile App

This is to provide feedback on my recent experience using your cinema reservation app last 6/14/2024 for the reservation of the movie to be shown on 6/15/2024. Firstly, I appreciate the convenience of being able to reserve seats and purchase ticket online without the need to queue at the cinema booth. The user interface is intuitive, and the booking process is straightforward. However, despite reserving seats through the app and purchasing tickets online, there was a discrepancy between my online booking and cinema's system. Whan I arrived at the cinema, I discovered that the seats I had reserved were already occupied by other patrons. It appeared that the reserved seats from the app were not properly reflected in the cinema’s ticketing system. I find this situation was quite disappointing and frustrating, as it caused confusion and inconvenience.

This app is disappointing. A lot of us booked Inside Out 2 through this app because SM encouraged us to use this app for online booking. The booking amount was deducted in our debit/credit cards but no digital tickets were given. We've been following up with SM through email and they have been very poor in responding to us and also, their hotlines were out of reach or unavailable. Please fix this.

SM cinema charges you to create an account. After I’ve been charged, I’m unable to access the account and make the reservation I need. This app does not offer any sort of convenience.

I signed up for a premium membership yet the load I bought cannot buy these tickets. I emailed and emailed yet no resolution until now. It’s been 5 days now. App is a trash

I experienced first hand the issues that some of the people have encountered. I went to the cinema a while ago because I wanted to watch Haikyuu. I remembered that I still balance on the app (I am using this app pre-pandemic and did not encounter any issues) so I decided to purchase a ticket via the app for convenience. Guess what, during payment, I encountered an error and the app force closed! I did not even received any email so I don’t have any evidence to show. I went to the cashier and explained what happened and asked if they can do something about it. The cashier only said that I need to wait for the code because sometimes, it takes at least 24hours for the ticket to be received. I am already there, bought a ticket for the 1:45pm screen time on that same day and the cashier told me to wait for 24 hours? Seriously? Well she did try to check if my purchase was successful by checking on their system using my name and contact number but then, no record of my purchase. In the end, I just bought another ticket using cash. This app and their other apps are all trash. Their developers are trash. You are one of the biggest business out there yet you can’t invest on your system properly! I will never use another SM app again! Uninstalling all SM apps on all of my devices!!!

I downloaded this app to purchase tickets for a Haikyuu Movie. The first transaction was not pushing through. I was checking with my gcash and the money didn’t seem to have been deducted, so I tried again. ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT AFTER I COMPLETED MY SECOND TRANSACTION, THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS CHARGED TWICE FOR THE SAME SEATS. What’s crazy is that I did not even get my e-tickets and that the seats were STILL AVAILABLE ONLINE. I had to go to the sm branch to rectify things and will only be refunded the one extra transaction after ONE MONTH. The other transaction I still paid the “convenience” fee EVEN THOUGH I WENT TO THE PHYSICAL STORE ALREADY. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. It will give you more of a head ache then it’s worth.

I bought 2 tickets for haikyuu for may 15. But i didnt get any ticket or any code that i can show or use for the cinema. I only have my payment receipt that was sent to me on my email. It does not indicate there that i can go to the cinema, it just indicates that i PAID. I can’t even view the transaction.
