Had high hopes. Should have read the other reviews. The app is prob fine but it won’t connect or when it does it disconnects as soon as your lock screen kicks in.

Didnt work at all out of the box. As in would not even turn on. Tried changing batteries, no joy. Exchanged for a cheaper gas mate thermo and have had no problems. Would not recommend this product.

Works well, pairs easy and alarm once desired temp is great. Would be great if this was also available on Apple Watch!

App has issues trying to pair automatically after opening the app a second or third time when out of range. Timer function also stopped working at some point during cook and reset to zero. As other reviewer mentioned, blue tooth range is terrible - 10m distance at best. Overall very disappointed. I have a wireless probe that cost half the price and works flawlessly. If your considering buying one of these, think again.

This app and probe works well for reading temps But needs some work with software Would be great to have timers continue to countdown/up even if Bluetooth connection is lost (which happens often, but that happens with Bluetooth) Also would be good to be able to set alarms with-in app e.g every 30min to spritz meats being smoked/ time to wrap meat

Used for the first time and soon as you get more than 4 meters away unit drops out. Compared to other (granted more expensive) units this is sub standard in quality Will be returning the unit

1. Range that it states is a load of rubbish. 8-10 meters at best 2. Temperatures are accurate for meats I have cooked (Rib Fillet / Pork / Lamb / Chicken). All meat cooked to perfection. 3. Bad lack of foresight- I first bought one and it cooked my meat so successfully I purchased another two but alas I have to use a 3 phones to keep track. Developer please change your App to allow for more than one device. 4. Colour coding for devices. When you are cooking with three devices it is hard to figure which probe wire is for which meat. 5. The SmartThermo makes a very average BBQ cook look like a cooking guru. The downside to this is that your guests love the meat so much they come back for more and more and costs you a small fortune in meat. 6. I have no issues with pairing/ battery usage / app working. To developer - if you want to sell more of this product put your hand in your pocket and spend a few dollars getting your App right.

Range is about 5m less if there is a wall in the way, waste of time

Since the last release, this app now works with iOS 11.4.1 on an iPhone 7.

This app supposedly pairs with the Matador Smart Meat Thermometer. The product states it has a 40m range. This is completely false and misleading. You would be lucky to get a 10m range which means it’s virtually useless. Better to buy a cheap thermometer which sits next to your bbq.
