SmoothTrack: Head Tracker

I’ve been using head tracker with star citizen for two years now and can say, it’s the best. It kills the tracking in-game and I’ve used tobii and no offense, $280 for what? This does the same thing. Eye tracking ✅ head tracking ✅ direct connection ✅ wireless connection with low latency ✅ cost effective ✅ Everything has been wonderful and the cost is so low you’ll find a use for it someone how if you are a gamer.

Version 2 made an already great app even greater. This has been incredibly stable and useful in sim racing (iRacing). I finally realized that my phone should be mounted separately from my sim rig and monitor so that SmoothTrack is not affected by vibrations. The added immersion - of being able to look side to side and around sharp turns - is simply wonderful while racing. Thank you for this awesome, affordable solution!

Work perfectly with MSFS 2020 and BeamNG.drive

This software is so perfect, and the facial tracking effect is very good. It's just that I want to use an Android phone exclusively. Can I transfer the purchase to the Android market?

Using face recognition as head tracker is a fantastic idea! And it is amazing that you made this! Though from my experience that it always drifts when using with open track, not sure where I should adjust

As somebody who has tried VR, but found the graphics to be lacking, being able to track my head with my iPhone is amazing. Also the newest version is so much better than the old version. Keep up the good work.

This is my first ever app review. I had to write one for this one. This app costs $13 and provides a level of accuracy close to Tobii and TrackIR. Although actual dedicated hardware will perform better, this comes extremely close and is pennies compared to the cost of some head tracking devices. I love using it in American Truck Simulator and I look forward to using it in MSFS2024 as well. Great app!

This is an excellent app and does exactly what it says it will do. The setup is minimally complicated as long as you follow the instructions. I’m using it with an iphone 14 plus and it tracks way better and with a larger range than my trackIR ever did. It doesn’t lose tracking even when I’ve turned my head away from the screen. I’m using the USB mode, I haven’t tried the network mode yet. It works great with my gaming laptop so I can use head tracking on the go. It works so well, it inspired me to model and 3d print a holder for my phone to hang on the back of the laptop screen. Entirely worth the purchase! If you play flight sims, having a head tracking solution is amazing. It’s like the difference between using a joystick+pedals vs keyboard and mouse.

Did the job well, no need for trackIR and a hat.
