I think this app definitely needs work
The app cancelled my subscription and asked for another $48 payment TWICE within 30 days. can’t always find menu items of foods consumed. Camera that analyzes your meals is questionable. Not happy with app so asked for refund.
SNAQ integrates nicely with Apple Health.app to obtain CGM data -- that is a definite plus. And the SNAQ report summary is good as well. Recently updates improved food lookups and I am looking forward to improved performance there to get to a 5 star rating…
The taking picture function wasn’t as nice as I thought it would be… it obviously can’t see everything you’re eating so you have to search each food. Not that different from other food tracking apps, BUT you are restricted to only add food based on weight rather than being able to switch to quantity, which made this way more work than apps my fitness pal. Maybe I’m a “bad diabetic”, but I don’t weigh all my food. Additionally, maybe in a few years there will be more brands entered from other users, but basic brands aren’t in the system and the search function is very finicky. For $70 a year this is a no for me
Poor logging options esp for custom food.
This app did nothing more than take a picture a nutrition label. After several tries it would connect to Dexcom.
Ripoff Charges for thee months when signed up for free trial and when cancelled before trial over no refund or access to paid subscription, which I don’t want anyway but was charged for.
You have to create an account before finding out this only allows 5 meal entries per week. I just need help counting carbs for diabetes management and everyone has to profit off of it. All the free apps are gone.
I’ve been a T1D for 51 years and have tried countless carb-tracking apps. Recently along came this weird app called SNAQ! I downloaded it and was impressed right away. The feature in particular is the running graph that shows my line of blood sugar numbers throughout the day. I plug in my meal to get the carb count, then go to my pump or t:connect on my iPhone to enter the carbs. I let it figure out the units I need, press either button to administer insulin, then go back to SNAQ & record that number of units. I also report any Activity I’ve done and write in the Notes any special data I want pertaining to my diabetes that day. The only issue is in recording the amounts of different food. Right now SNAQ takes only the scale weight, not fluid weight or measuring spoons. Nevertheless, their customer service is quick to respond to emails and I believe they are working to be more user-friendly. More importantly, I have been most often right on target with my numbers since using SNAQ.
First time trying this app and So far so good
