Snow Mappy: Locate & Navigate

So I just got this app getting exited so I can take a closer look at *Mount hood meadows* but turns out, they don’t have many options :(

I like the concept of the app, but I cannot use it because it only has a few Ski Resorts. Once they get the Ski Resort that I ski at I will be happy to look at this again.

Maker of this app targeted me on Instagram. I really wanted it to work as it’s solving a problem. But my initial experience was disappointing. The app keeps freezing even during basic navigation. Both my wife and I downloaded the app and we were hoping send invites to our friends to join our crew. But I can’t recommend it to anyone until they address the issues. Also, it has no support for Lake Tahoe resorts. Instagram’s gain, app makers loss. This is why hiring good engineers is important.

I couldn’t ski day 2 with the fam do to injury/spectacular wipeout on day 1. So I relaxed lodgeside with a cocktail and was able to see where the whole crew was all day (esp if they were staying together per my instructions) - SO COOL to see their little dots on the mountain in real time.

I can’t wait to use this with my family on the mountain & be able to locate where everyone is. It’s so helpful to be able to see which trail I’m on, what level of difficulty it is, and how to connect to other trails.

Delightfully illustrated, elegantly designed, with great looking topographic maps! Even the 4-degree Sleepytown Road run in Vail is probably too intense for me, but it still nice to be able to imagine an exhilarating day in the snow. Can't wait to see this technology applied to hiking trails in Hawaii!

Love it! Now that my kids are big enough to ski on their own (plus they are faster and better skiers than I am 😄), we can stay connected with each other the whole time and know where everyone is at! Brilliant idea a must for everyone who loves to 🎿 🤙🏻!

This app is fantastic. No need to constantly text to find friends. You can see where they are going in real time and easily head over to meet them. Really well thought out- easy to use- and a comprehensive guide to the mountain. Will be excited to try this at new resorts. A++
