This seems like a great idea but, as others have noted with previous versions, it does not let users register in the UK. After going through the whole process, clicking 'register' causes the application to ask for a 'state', but it will not allow the user to enter a state if the country selected is the UK (may be the same for other countries outside the US?). Hopefully, the developers will embrace Europe eventually.
Won't let me register either. In the UK too. Rubbish
It let's you chose UK as your country but then won't let you register without inputting a US state..... maybe a programming issue as the app looks like it's designed for the world. Please test before going live...
It has been a while but after quickly reviewing the app again, I am immediately at home again among aviation friends. What a great tool!! Way to go SF Team !
This app is aggravating buggy, and unusable. Needs significant work. Until they fix it, I suggest you use the website.
Great app shows places to visit sorted by distance, training for wings credits and more! Jeff
I enjoy using this app. Always looking for an excuse to fly. Shows me regionally what’s going on be it a EAA breakfast, air show, or flyin. Also like where it shows $100 hamburger airports.
Not sure about the negative reviews, this has been a great app for me to see the events in my area. Love the map to see airport info and any active events at airports I may be flying too. The Social Flight Live shows are great. I don’t always get to see them live and I really appreciate being able to get to the archive of previous recorded shows. I have learned a lot from the various guest and topics. I’m a big fan of Treat Williams the actor and really enjoyed his stories and down to earth great sense of humor. Jeff always does a great job in interviewing the various guests.
Used it for years. Was a great little app and you could easily customize how you wanted to see the map. Enjoyed it. Now it seems its purpose is to force you to turn on location and other settings that were not previously required. I just want a simple app to show me what’s occurring in an area that I choose to look at. If I want to go east I’ll look there. But this is now slower, less responsive, and constantly pops up a message trying to take me to settings…. You had a great thing going. You just kept enhancing it until it’s a hassle. Edit 4/1. Received a note from the developer that it was better with release 9.0. Downloaded it again an this must have been a April fools joke. Intermittent messages that it can’t reach the server. The map is not working as it used to where you can look ahead and see events and their locations. The list view has events. Just not on map.
Version 9.0 is very user friendly and packed with good to know and need to know information. Thanks SocialFlight! G’day!
